If You Loved Me

If you loved me
You wouldn't treat me like this
My thoughts would mean something
You would value my kiss.

I wouldn't feel like I was second class
I wouldn't feel like I was up to pass

I would crave for your touch
Daydream and get lost in love
Now I feel like you are using me
And always keeping your money to cuff.

I would be first on your list
I would bring a smile to your face
If you loved me
You wouldn't treat me like that
I wouldn't be second place!

Perverted Twist

Life at middle age
Now I slowed down
Thinking about the days
When my father used to pack me in the backseat
Wash two cars
And make it home to eat
Now I'm feeling like the prophet job
Everything I worked for went cold
Betrayal right under me like a missle
I couldn't kiss anyone's rear
If I bowed kicked it then I missed it
Worked day and night to lay down in solemn cold peace
Now the thrives right beside me
They say taking heat
Had to revert back to the person with a perverted twist
Play with me ride my back
Then I dropped you like yesterday oldest plate of chicken
You had no remorse when you plotted up your climb
You forgot the most essential important part
Gods eyes seen and heard it all
Now you want everything close to me
Because you say you standing tall
I sit back in laugh and knew it all along
You were never about the struggle
You wanted an easy pair of drawers
So I won't mimick you or give you attention
I'm going to keep doing me and stay slow
To raise my baby girl
She cried 12 years of your jealousy
And to her I'm sorry because that's my fault
I should have realized ones closest want what you have worked to make
Out of all the disrespect I never turned it over to the degrade of hate
Now the lesson all you wanted out the end to know
I'm going to reveal it to you but just slow
In life never put out what you don't want God above to give
When it's all said and done he got me covered and I'm going to stay safe and keep on getting billions.
If you like it I really never thought to ask
Throughout life I've saw your kind
But my mama taught me to step over and look right past the mask.

Focal Point

What if I whispered into your ear
My focal point
What if minimum wage was raised
According to the family size
What if more was spent on educating
Others about the importance of finance
And avoiding the deception of materialistic lies
Would this world in 4 years be a better place
What if no one ever made an effort
Would my words just go to waste
Is there ever going to be change
Will this country one day have a woman president
Opening up the dimensions of our imagination
What we saw 20 years ago couldn't be
Envisioning change for everyone to have a fair
Opportunity
Is my focal point.

Numb

I lost the closest thing to me
And it's trapped in my head
Wake numb to no emotions
It's feels like I'm dead
Knew love because he taught me
Still it ain't fair
How could love me and death take him
Nothing can compare
He always taught me to love others
Yet surrounded by snakes
In a world so cold and cruel
Yet still I can't break
Daddy told me don't let them get you
A hundred in my face
Lost a real one by an opportunist
God know the fake.
If I told you then it's deep
What I see in my sleep
Numb to what I want to do
To God my soul
He keep
Loyalty only blood my blood did he shed
Numb to this emotion
Can't wish he was dead
I got a child to feed any and all costs
He boasting she bragging
Claiming she boss
Game got so ratchet
God only take losses
If I spook on this emotion
The devil would see red
Numb to this emotion
I work go harder
Don't let her see me weep
Taking chances on others blinded loss
In my heart God see him bleed
No emotions

Humility

Humility is the greatest asset.
As we maneuvers through life, only God knows what we face.
The trials and tribulations can lead us all to disgrace.
Yet we find comfort in the creator.
He knows our path and humbled our ways
We pray for change and it seems far from sight
People willing to sell their soul just to get their money right.
God still sees and hears it all.
I stay humble.

If I Said

On everything sometimes you have to say
People will push you
But there's a time to get gee
And a time to play
You put me jeopardy
Just to say what you did
Now ask me a question
And ask me what I did
About my own
There is no limit to replace
Trickles of the thoughts make me
want the enemies to erase
But I stay humble
And bow my head to the sky
The day I end up in slavery
This whole generation gone know why

The Transition

I may not be the most educated
Education is important
Don't get me wrong
There once was a day
People died for this right
Now with the economy
It's a struggle
One that will pay off
One day and
Allow
Anyone to take flight
Our ancestors used to read
By candlelight
Then they were lead
By the stars and moon
Now our focus is to raise up
Children to be productive
Who sometimes
Because of this
Evil world are taken
Much
Too soon.
Still we
Persevere.

Arriving At Peace

After so many years of hard knocks
The bruises only I can see
I can finally feel a sense of tranquility
And know I'm living the life God envisioned just for me.
He didn't promise every day would be blissful
Not did he say I wouldn't shed a tear
However what God did promise to me
That peace in his bosom
To him would keep me near.
I have found the peace I searched for
It may not last for long
Therefore I have to enjoy every moment of it
I know it's God who keeps me strong!

Role Model

She looks up to me I'm her role model
I birth her after nine months
Yet caught up on a world
Of deception
I shelter her
To keep her safe
Yet I feel like giving her wings to fly
She looks up to me as a role model
Will one day she sit in front of billions
Of people
Only the God I serve up above does know
Yet lessons are a respectable way of steering through life's twisted roads.

Serenity

I lay in his arms
At peace
He holds me
Mysteriously
I feel relief
Then time unwinds
Strife begins
We yell
We fight
The years pass
The serenity of love
