Walking Through the Meadow

Walking through a meadow
Shining with the mornings teardrops
Near the babbling brook
Spotting a buck
Its beautiful brown coat
Leaping gracefully over a fence
Seeing an albino squirrel
White as snow
Coming back down
Finding a groundhog hole
Filled of soft and fuzzy babies
Playing with each other
Squeaking like baby birds
It is getting dark
The song birds
Singing their final songs
A coyote howls off in the distance
A bears snore
Echoes through a cave
Like a giants breath
The moonlight settles
All is quiet
As the meadow falls asleep
Now the only sound I here
Is my own heartbeat.
