Makenzie Combs Poem
You weren't there.
You aren't here.
You didn't help me,
When I needed a bandaid.
When I needed a hug.
When I needed my dad.
I came to you,
You blew me off.
You never taught me
What a man should be.
I made countless mistakes.
But with your neglect
I learned how much
I mean to me.
I am who I am
Not because of you,
But because of me.
Those words you lack to say,
I will tell myself proudly.
I am proud of me!
I love me!
So thank you!
Thank you for nothing!

Makenzie Combs Poem
You are gone now.
With no hesitation you packed up.
Took your things,
And my heart went with you.

Makenzie Combs Poem
Saying "I'm sorry,"
It doesn't fix everything.
You can say I'm sorry,
And I'll forgive you.
But that doesn't mean
The wound you've created
Isn't getting bigger
With every slash you put in me
With your words.
