Please Don'T Leave Me

I convince myself that I will get better.
That these hard days will soon leave.
but, maybe I don't want them too.
maybe I just want something that will stay.

Mania Is Better Than Depression

I like the way my mania feels,
She comforts me in my weakest moments.
She holds me in her arms and sings to me.
When it’s her time to go she gives me one last kiss and wipes my tears.
Without her here I am wasting away.

The Giver

I give my love to everyone around me,
those who need it more than I.
I give my body for a moment of affection,
The validation I crave deep within.
I give my life to please everyone,
Giving everything I refuse to give myself

Better Than Nothing

I put myself in dangerous situations.
Not because I want to die,
But maybe because even fear itself is better than being numb.

-I’d just like to know what wanting to live feels like.

Irony

I could write poetry into your skin and you'd still ignore it.

-I guess love poems aren't meant for me.

Are We Our Parents

I remind him of you,
I remind you of him
I share your face and share his anger.
I share his eyes and share your sadness.
I am the product of both

-Yet I’m nothing like either.

Everyone Else

You do not see my body as beautiful,
rather something that gives you pleasure.
You do not view my lips as mine,
but as something that lets you in.
You do not see the way I look at you,
but I see the way you look at everyone else.

Stillness

When life begins to slip away,
I take a bath.
With one last breath,
I hold myself under the water.
In this stillness, I am calm.
The relief of death seems to comfort me.

I want to be

I want to be the paintings those stare at for hours.

Taking in every detail, stealing every emotion that lay in between the frame.
Appreciating how someone could put so much energy into a simple moment and have it cherished for centuries.
A moment that is meaningless to everyone around, yet holds an outstanding importance to one.
I want to be that painting. I want to be that moment.

Missing Forever

I’ve lost myself for love,
For devotion.
Every feeling, every moment
Devours me.
