How Could You

How could you see the center of me,
My hopes,
My dreams,
My un resting peace.
How could you walk away from me.
When I let you see those parts of me.
With another person I have never been so free,
Felt safe,
Opened up.
Now the doors they've closed shut,
To protect the hole you've left in me.
You stripped away my security.
Made me question what left of me.
I look in at all I see,
All the parts where blame may be.
Trying to find why you left me.
It's not right,
It not fair,
To feel the way I feel.
I am not less because you left me.
I can rest without you there.
My hearts not pressed.
You'll see I swear,
but yes you left a hole in me,
Where my best friend used to be.

The Land of Opportunity

The Land of Opportunity,
Came knocking at the door
Selling Strap on Wings and
Thin Golden Strings,
All things we should adore.
The Land of Opportunity,
Is an enigma from a dream.
The Land of Opportunity,
Sews on our Strap on Wings.
With deft hands and rich words,
It creates the Golden Seams.
Golden Seams append the back
To restless Strap on Wings.
It was then in the first venture,
that we began to fly.
Testing mighty Golden Wings,
That gain inordinate heights.
It is now here in this moment
That we begin to dive.
The Land of Opportunity's,
Golden Seams don't seem to last.
A vision sewed up tight,
unravels before our eyes.
The Land of Opportunity,
Now an axeman in disguise.
It has our dreams sewed up tight,
And kept far out of reach.
The Land of Opportunity,
Sad lessons it will teach.
The Golden Wings diminish,
They left us to survive.
The Land of Opportunity,
The shape shifts fabric of our lives.

Clockworks

We are like gears,
In a churning machine.
When you spin,
I spin.
When I spin,
They spin.
Impelled by our interconnected intricacies.
Can my wheel just break away
Another gear will take my place
In my loneliness,
In this grand machine,
I find a place and spin again.
Spinning back............perhaps,
Surely forward again.
I need my gears to spin my time,
To grind my purpose disguised.
What is the workings of this grand machine
Let the watchmaker surmise,
As I move my gear with time.

Gental Warrior

I work, I work, I work
To leave it all behind.
I am a proud warrior woman.
I take it all in stride.
With a smirk and a sign.
I leave the past,
Follow a straight line,
For the girl I see inside.

It Waits

The animal desire for you.
It lives in me.
It breaths for you.
Pounds the pulsating pace.
No release,
relieve pressure.
Urge the ardent escape.

The animal cannot wait.
It beats it's pounding pace.
It lives,
It breaths,
It beats for you,
the pace, restraint abates.
Inside me it waits.
For you to come and take.
The animal will break

The Game of Life

Nothing can be solved,
When you dwell in the past.
To pull up the boulders,
Where dark feelings amass.
Square shoulders, look forward,
Gaze at the light.
Look into the future,
And sit in tonight.
Clasp hands,
With warm comfort that today brings.
Glide gaily to tomorrow,
On the these happy wings.
Hold on to your dreams,
For they are the light.
Your dreams are tomorrow,
If you play your cards right.

So lets sit in tonight,
Clasp hands with delight,
and know in your hand,
The cards are just right.

Famous

Never let your, heart stop.
Let the, beat drop.
Let your, music pop.
Life's race will, take you,
to the top.
Don't let those, people stomp,
out your dreams.
Keep you, locked up,
with your, tear drops.
set your, spirit free.
release yourself, onto the scene,
of your, wildest dreams.
While the, people scream,
out your name.
Welcome to the,
Life of fame.

My Dearest Friend

How often is it,
That we have waved hello,
Waved goodbye,
And waved hello once more?
At this time,
I wave goodbye,
And hide,
My secret, locked up, hello.
I often thought,
As I watched us grow,
This bond we wont forego.
Heart beat rise,
I see your back,
My tears begin to glow.
Come back my friend,
Until the the end.
Don't break the wedding vow.
My hand reaches out.
How often have we waved hello,
Then waved goodbye?
Please unlock,
Your secret, locked up, hello
Don't go.

P.S. I have never been married lol the idea of ending one really moves me though.....but
thank you for the support.

Free As a Bird

I feel pressed down,
Down into the ground.
Whenever your around.

My movements are opressed,
By the dominance, you rest,
So eagerly, upon my chest.

My steps are hindered,
By the stress.
But I know that I am blessed,
By the worlds tenderness.

I will break free,
Of your subtle tyranny.
My spirit will walk free,

As I turn the key.
I'll listen to the, symphony.
Of my wildest dreams.

True Love

My love,
When your heart aches.
When your spirit breaks.
When you could float away,
No stability.
I will hold you down.
I will keep you here with me.
I will be your roots,
As the storm beats.
Beats with no sympathy.
For you my love,
I will stand above the crowd.
Beat down the judging scowls.
I'll keep you planted,
Safely here with me.
For you my love.
For you,
My Love.
I do almost anything.
