Kelli Tuggle Poem
Here it is! The blustery cold,
The season we dread slowly unfolds,
The beautiful colors fade day by day,
Crash to the dirt where they will lay.
These icy few months drag on so long,
Anticipating sunny days, is that so wrong?,
Longing for the warm kiss of the sun,
Happily Christmas lifts you up before coming undone.
No color, all white, grey and some black,
Wishing for pansies and touch-me-nots to come back,
Needing just a glimpse of the golden rays of the sun,
Wanting to go somewhere warm and have some fun.
Slowly the chill evaporates into the cold sky,
The beloved snowmen melt and we say our good-byes,
As we welcome the New Year with arms open wide,
Quoting our resolutions with such drunken pride.
Finally! Spring a reason for smiles,
Watching patiently for this all the while,
The energy I have needed all year,
Life seems much better SUMMER is finally here.

Kelli Tuggle Poem
Each one of them different, sometimes the same,
One is so shy she can't tell you her name,
The other outgoing, will say anything,
My two daughters, each one perfect to me.
One has more energy than her body can stand,
Moving, running, never resting or having a plan,
The most lovable and helpful when she feels the need,
My baby girl, so smart she could lead.
The other is quiet with a spark underneath,
Taking everything in, never wanting to be seen,
So loving and thoughtful, she wears her heart on her sleeve,
My oldest, through her eyes her soul you can see.
True love can be found in your child's sight,
Seeing you as someone, we only dream of at night,
Things we have missed, we can relive with them,
Having the honor of seeing life through curious eyes again.
Trivial things and sights that seem old,
Seen through their young eyes, renew stories told,
Age dulls the excitement of everyday life,
Through this tunnel of darkness, they are my light.

Kelli Tuggle Poem
If people could see into my soul,
Maybe they would go away and leave me alone,
Someday's I feel crazy, even a little insane,
Wanting to find somewhere, No one even knows my name.
Anything... trying to be the person I'm not,
Can't get it right; only decay and rot,
Striving to do good, only just not enough,
Always coming up short in this "living life" stuff.
Seems I never give enough and won't ever give in,
Pride always shows up and I am blinded again,
Those qualities end up hurting only me,
One day suspicion will not control what I see.
Many things said come out the wrong way,
Words do hurt and can end your best day,
Taking things out of context will start a war,
Meanings get changed, making you hurt to the core.
Sadness and anger may not come from this place,
Maybe some reminder from the past is the case,
Hurt comes to people in so many forms,
But we always find strength in the midst of these storms.
