Twisted Serenity

A strange bay lay before me,
These dark waters lay so serene,
I see those faces that once be,
They seem so calm in the oceans breeze,
However their silence heralds a terrible scream,
I remain on the edge of the land,
Hearing the desolate melody of a sunken band,
What once brought me endless wonder a hope bearing rope,
Has truly become my final hope,
The land I walk on is cursed,
And it makes me wonder if it really can get worse,
Though I wish to throw myself among those cold waters,
My fear restricts me from laying my life slaughtered,
For I know not what lies in those waves,
Will I become a demons slave?
Or will my existence never see day?
For now I roam on the beach,
Always ready for this sweet release,
And I have my toes in the sea,
For when it becomes too much for me,
And I may throw myself in its twisted serenity,
And play in its tragic melody,
For the remainder of eternity.

Questions

They say its fun,
That its lovely outside,
But to this point I am done,
I will continue in the dark and hide,
Why must I struggle to fight,
When what I fight for will be a dream,
One that cant exist in the truth and light,
Let my harmless dream remain,
I don't want to open my eyes,
I don't want to see the sky,
For when I do I see what I left behind,
And see that my happiness was really bind,
In wretched vines of countless lies,
But will that suffering be worth?,
Will I be able to move forth?,
What if I like it in the sky?,
What if I let this part of me die?,
Can I really live if I let my dark heart bleed?,
Will I sow a new seed?,
Can I grow from my dark hole?,
Brushing off these burning coals?,
Why cant I do the task?,
Why do I sit here and continue to ask?,
I want to take my wounds with me,
I want them to feel the same breeze,
I am willing to take the pain,
I know many will see me insane,
But maybe I can bleed for them,
Just maybe I can shine like a gem,
Maybe I will be valued,
Though a lovely dream that be,
I really must accept what of these,
They are but scattered words,
That I send upon the breeze,
Hoping they may he carried away from me,
And I may no longer bleed.

My Midnight

The night can also see,
With its many stars its eyes,
And its voice in blowing leaves,
To overcome is all it tries,
But it soon falls to the brighter sky,
Or so we let our thoughts bidden,
In reality the bright warm sun,
Keeps those same eyes hidden,
Though that scary night seems done,
Fear it still fosters,
It still bites,
Forever getting smarter,
And holding on to the fright,
For now it is summer the light remains,
And though that same night comes it is more tame,
But winter is to come someday,
And that is when the sun will hide away,
And you will finally see my lullaby,
And know that the sun was no more than to supply,
A sense of security from the night,
But by then it's to late to take flight,
You will see the bright stars shine,
And see the thousands of flames burning in my eyes,
And as a winter night is so bright,
You will see me grow cold and with spite,
And my voice will no longer be carried by the leaves,
But by what flows through the dead trees,
All that grew from the seed you lay,
And found so easy to betray,
Beware the grudge you have begun,
And prepare to face my midnight sun!

The Factory

The distant hums,
The iron ovums,
I can hear the echos,
Of those who used to be here,
They sound with much woe,
And the ground is stained with their forgotten tears,
I cannot tell if the red stuff,
Is their regretful blood,
or neglectful rust,
And comes sounds of lifeless flood,
The teeth still nash,
But of gears,
The hammers still crash,
But without fear,
The clock still rings,
But there are no ears,
The lights still ping,
But no eyes are near,
What could have happened their role,
That left this place empty and without soul,
Where did those happy smiles go,
And why must they leave this place as so,
Despite the way it leads,
A heart still beats,
But it beats not in hopes they will arrive,
But only to keep this place alive.

Legends Are Just That

The wheels of history turn,
And the present becomes the past,
And the hero becomes legend,
And legends are forgotten last,
But as all ages go,
And the faithful search for proof,
They come to realize the stories were not so,
And reality is but sorrowful truth.

My Place

I see how I exist,
And there isn't much to find,
So it no wonder I couldn't resist,
The universe in your mind,
Yet your mind be so open like the stars in space,
Your heart leaves a void,
For in your mind I know my place,
But in your heart I'm done avoid.
