Twisted Serenity

A strange bay lay before me, These dark waters lay so serene, I see those faces that once be, They seem so calm in the oceans breeze, However their silence heralds a terrible scream, I remain on the edge of the land, Hearing the desolate melody of a sunken band, What once brought me endless wonder a hope bearing rope, Has truly become my final hope, The land I walk on is cursed, And it makes me wonder if it really can get worse, Though I wish to throw myself among those cold waters, My fear restricts me from laying my life slaughtered, For I know not what lies in those waves, Will I become a demons slave? Or will my existence never see day? For now I roam on the beach, Always ready for this sweet release, And I have my toes in the sea, For when it becomes too much for me, And I may throw myself in its twisted serenity, And play in its tragic melody, For the remainder of eternity.
