The House Feels Empty Now

The house feels empty now
Your legacy here, but the spirit is gone
The ice cream we’d always share, I would always make fun of you for only having vanilla, saying it was boring
I’m not making fun of you now
No more i
The house feels empty now
Albert, you were the best grandpa around, always there for all of us
No more a
The house feels empty now
The ecosystem you loved, your flowers, trees, greens
Now overgrown, forgotten, neglected
No more e
Now lost
Us, souls you touch
No more u
We would watch wheel of fortune and laugh at people who didn’t buy vowels, but now that you’re gone the vowels remind me of you
No more vowels, no more you
Th* h**s* f**ls *mpt* n*w

Date: Monday, June 28th (6/28/2021)
Contest: "Lipogram Poem" sponsored by Emile Pinet
Vowels omitted: i, a, e, u (at various points)
