Gut Instinct

Go with your gut instinct
Don't force communication
Keep them short and succinct
Don't fool your emotions
They be alluring and distinct
Doesn't mean there's a link
If feeling a bit on edge
Leave it on the ledge
Ain't gotta make no pledge
If they constantly make you think
The feeling just ain't right
Don't give it any fight
Stay out of their sight

A Beautiful Breeze

Comfortable spaces
Familiar places
So much effort
Same old faces

So uninspired

This way of living
Kind of restrictive
Barely giving
Repetitive going ons
To waste the day
Uncreative being this way

So uninspired

Passions tamed
Subdued interest
Going about it
Lacking zest

So uninspired

Go with the motion
Practical thinking
Rub out imagination

So uninspired

Things to do
Places to be
No time for that
What's for dinner?
Can we?

So uninspired

But unrelenting
They will not cease
The imagination
A beautiful breeze

The Bum Sniffer Then Licked My Face

She's home, She's home
I'm no longer alone
I'll show her I love her
 she'll put down her phone
With a jump and a lick
Maybe do a small trick
She'll get out my lead, but remind me
"Well have to be quick"

I see them, I see them
But wait who is that
The one standing there
With the captivating stare

They're not as fast as me
But its fun just to see
We roll over backwards
nose's face plant the grass
Rufus the big soppy softy
But looks mean and harsh

If only she'd walk over
I could sniff her bum
No not just for fun!
I could tell if we've ever met before
I think we have but i'm not quite sure

Curiosity gets the better of me
I dash over to her at lightning speed
I sniff her nose, her ears and toes
Shall i attempt it
OK, here goe's
But shes already there
the one with the stare
She then licked my face
And showed no grace
Pinning me to the floor
It happened with such haste
Now I remember
We have met before
Shes the one with the smelly paw.

Switch of the Telly

Switch off the telly
Calm the nerves in your belly
Release the stress from your head
Don't worry about what they said
Accepting ourselves though there are things we lack
To have a purpose and give something back
To be accepting of others our sisters and brothers
It's to share warmth and laughter, that's what we're all after
Breathe in the fresh cut grass, don't worry about the size of your arse.
Soak up the sunshine, feel it warm your bones
We will survive five minutes without our phone's.
Kick back and relax in your fuzzy socks and crocs,
I'll do the dinner, mashed potato and lamb chops?

Talk About the Weather

We talk about the weather to a stranger
Talk about the news to a neighbour
Talk about this and that to your Nan
And poor old Pat to Auntie Pam

Talk about your favourite positions to a lover
And contraception to your Mother

But there's these things I'd like to say to you
But when I see you I just go mute
How my pupils dilate
My heart leaps at the thought of kissing you
But for some silly reason I hesitate.

Amy

Your flick of eyeliner,
Tattoo's and beehive
A bit of rock and roll,
something of Jazz or Jive.

Your authentic words
ingrained in our memory
Listening to the beats,
tapping along to the melody.
The sultry, smokiness
the range of your voice,
We're right there with you
the moment you soar.

As you up the rhythm
taking us on a
Nostalgic, Jazz filled ride.
When we saw how they hounded you
We felt that knock to your pride.

Your determination,
uniqueness and drive
Inspired us women,
Man you did shine.

Watched you grasp onto the feeling's
to help release a little pressure.
Inhale the love before it became a bit lesser.
Back to Black when he went back to her.

You sang us through the hurt,
Coming down from the high.
We sang along with you,
We heard your heart sigh.

Walking around a little shattered and broken
A hole in your heart, alone and unspoken
Clutching to something to fill the void
Is it a hunger, a lack of nurturing and care.
When we need it the most hope somebody is there.

Curious Psyche

Bashfully, dimple-ly
Child-like grin on my face
Naturally, clumsily
Jumbled up speech all over the place

Often left wondering
"Was I misunderstood?"
A tad bit optimistic
Far too curious, for my own good

Dig a bit further, braincells debate
Thoughts come back to that family tree
Is it destiny or some kind of fate
Search a bit deeper within my psyche
Discombobulated, now I need a coffee.

Mum, Mum, Mum

Their Angelic giggling smiles
Our witty conversations
Adore their inquisitive minds
Sacred, innocent personalitys
His character full of integrity
Subtle and refined.
Her, so bold and unapologetic
Lots of mischievous jesting
Your bickering drives me crazy!
When we are in our bubble of silliness
And we're giggling like children
When we shut out the world
And completely ourselves
This is pure awesomeness.
And there it is again "Mum, Mum, Mum"
Ohh the weariness.
I cherish their enthusiastic hugs
They give me a gleeful motivation.

Time

Things we just don't say
Because the words don't come easily
No matter how much time
Feels like theivery
Uncompromising, can't be bought
Blink and the moments gone.

Too Much Noise

Seeing people a bit differently
Their words plans and actions
Not always good deeds
With their careless reactions

Too much noise fogging my head
Want to shield my ears
stuff em up with some bread

They talk so loudly
Building themselves up
Walk around so proudly

When ignorance was bliss
Had nothing to miss

Conscience has new being
Words have much meaning
The reassuring feeling
That calmness brings healing
