Lonnell Harris Poem
When I think of what I've lost
I think of you
When the night comes across
I think of you
When the morning opened my eyes
I think of you
As the sun rolls by
I think of you
When emotions fill my head it's memories
I think of you
So what did I lose?
I lost myself I got caught up in addiction alcoholism homeless helpless hopeless so I lost my children I wanted to die
I couldn't breath, I couldn't think I couldn't touch I couldn't see
I hated everything about who I was and I hated you
Then I had know choice but to take a chance one last attempt of trusting another trusting you and you made it so easy to love. All I see is this love that I didn't see thank you God for saving me

Lonnell Harris Poem
I’ve walked through the darkness.
Managing my life in to a mess.
Being in a sea of selfishness.
Trying to control the outcome,
Walking around so numb.
Pain and misery controlled me.
I was crazy inside its madness.
Feeling so helpless, hopeless pure sadness.
Got pushed into the light.
All I wanted to do is fight.
I deserve this? It’s a lie what gives!
Hope and joy fill me inside.
Giving up my way at the end of the highway
Cars flying by I’m dying!
Scared to open my eyes I’m crying!
Now I’m awaken to something that has shaken my soul
The light the flow that guides me
Maybe I had to go through the dark to reach the light.
Maybe I had to be paralyzed by fright.
To reach the God inside.
And shine!
