New Day

Dawn unhurriedly raises, warms and embraces as fresh soothingly breezes quiet the daylight.
Aromas of sweet morning glories blanket the air while the valiant trees ballet in majesty
with no cares.

Melody of the robin enlightens the way.
Daybreak is welcomed for it’s lengthy new day.

Strenuous hours of exerting toil, all come to an end.
Tangelo moon is in position, time for the daylight to descend.

First glow of tawny stars, nighttime must fall.
Dusk fiercely conquers, silence deafening all.

The crickets orchestral skulk and towers.
Symphonies of obscurity harmonize for hours.

High in it’s throne the wise owl sits and listens.
Over the horizon a new light, dawn again has risen.

Mighty Oak

We start out life as blossoms. Then we turn to hues of green.
Our resting place is on the wise and mighty oak tree.

The oak displays us ever so proudly, way up high.
Where we can almost touch the heavens. The sky.

We dance in the soft breeze, for all to admire and see.
Our purpose is to make air, so others can breath.

As we grow old, we’ll shelter the squirrels. The birds.
We silently sit. We need no introductions. No words.

When our time is nearly finished; we’ll fade and turn brown.
The mighty oak will then set us free.

We’ll gracefully float to the ground.
For our grand finale, we’ll slowly vanish into the soil.

We’ll nourish the oak. Return next season.
We’re its’ servants. We are loyal.

We’ll begin again as blossoms, and then change to hues of green.
Our resting place will be back on the wise and mighty oak tree.

Twilights Trickery

Twilight finally at rest peace serenely blanketing.
Singing of the ticking timepiece, patter at the stillness.
High-pitch sound of quiet lingering insanely.
Hour’s transient, expressions of a book, devours the mind.
Unexpectedly, the eye catches a dim glimpse of light.
Pages of paragraphs being digested, luminosity disregarded.
Light grows more intense, as if the attention is desired.
The head turns, to reveal the absolute of oblivion.
Eyes scan, searching for clarification of raison d'être.
From the other eye, stronger flashes of light witnessed.
Frenetically spiraling, panic proves the motionlessness.
Psyche begins to wonder, if it was merely hallucination.
Shrugging of the nonexistence, paragraphs are now chapters.
Droning of twilight, deafening. Every noise pronounces.
Phobia swiftly changes to sleepiness.
Exhaustion takes over.
Vibrant joie de vivre changes to profound hues of black.
Room turns chilly.
Hair on the nape of the neck stands on end.
Disturbing the intellect with fear.
Trickery of darkness scurries by.
Once again the eyes scrutinize, revealing absolutely nil.
Sub-consciousness informs slumber to take control.
High pitch sound of quiet, still lingering insanely.
Patter of stillness, sings from the ticking timepiece.
Peace serenely blanketing. Finally at rest, is twilight?

America

“America the beautiful, the home of our brave.”
Liberty is what our neighboring allies long for and crave.

“The world will little not, nor long remember” what was once said.
“This nation under God, shall have a new birth of freedom.” echo in our heads.

“All men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain
unalienable Rights”
“ Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” is the precise innocence and purity
our nation admirably honors and fights.

“The people, for the people, by the people will not perish from this earth.”
Together, we ascend from the chaos and rejoice our nations rebirth.

Valor and hardiness together; as one nation, “United we stand.”
Perseverance and justice; superbly havens our homeland.

U.S. troops protect and shield us for what is truthfully right.
Our flag proudly salutes our nation, all day and all night.

America “O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave
“This be our motto: "In God is our trust."
And the Star-Spangled Banner in triumph shall wave”

Three Words I Long To Know

My confidence is insecure. It is dreadfully low
There are three words that I long to know.
The answer determines if I stay or if I go.
Don’t want to rush. Take your time. Go slow.

My heart beats whenever I hear your name.
You are my life, my love’s one and only flame.
I can only hope that one day, you’ll feel the same.
Your feelings are silenced. I’m going insane.

You’re so complex. Sometimes you’re a mystery.
You said you wanted to spend your life with me.
What ‘s missing? Is there something I don’t see?
I cannot unlock that door, only you hold the key.

You’re my significant other. You’re all that I speak of.
We’re a great deal alike. We resemble hand to glove.
You’re the only man that I’ll ever want to love.
The answer I’ll wait. I’ll not push nor will I shove.

I’ll fade to the background. My love for you is known.
My hearts awfully restless. My soul is so alone.
Each and every passing day; my love for you grows.
My love there are three words that I long to know.

Experiences of Something

Every experience something extremely unusual. An appearance of a vision you can’t quite
explain?
If you tried to explain, you feared that you wouldn’t be believed and be taken for a fool.

You remain silent, driving yourself senseless; hoping to find an answer to back your
sanity, proving it wasn’t your imagination playing tricks.

Have you ever sat quietly in a room, where every sound is pronounced, the ticking of the
clock is insanely loud, keeping perfect unison with your pulse?

The silence so loud, you can identify and single out the high ringing of the sound of
quiet.
So your mind wanders searching for sanity, looking for reasons for the sounds of silence,
while the visions repeat unexplained.

Believing in yourself, knowing you’re not a fool; searching for the extremely unusual
experiences of something.

Midnight Waltz

Dazzling twilight
Sparkling starlight
Ocher lights all around
Heavens are chanting
Nature is prancing
Anticipating concerto sounds
Zephyr tantalizing
Music harmonizing
Grand flora sway lofty in a row
Nightingale ready
Standing steady
Awaiting her cue from the Maestro
Gesture is given
Moment for singing
She shares an inspirational serenade
Welcome midnight waltz
Tonight, no faults
Night dances in a splendid cascade
Sonata swarms
Tranquility warms
Finale’ is here. Morning’s first light
Evening in awe
Heaven applauds
Bravo. Fortissimo.
Thank you. Goodnight.

Majestical Brilliance

Slowly I rise. I patiently await my royal cue.
I wait for my brother’s last radiant tangelo hue.

Darkness will have vanished. All will welcome the new day.
My beams of warmth will blanket my children at play.

From the grass in the meadow, to the lofty tops of the trees.
I comfort the deer’s’ in the forest. The birds. The bees.

My sister; the breeze gently cools all that’s in sight.
As for me, I sit firmly casting majestical brilliance of light.

Long and hard hours of labor, is how my day is spent.
I will have done my duty. I will leave in content.

Soon the birds will flock to the trees. All gone for the night.
My brilliance will have faded. There’ll only be my brother’s amber light.

Orchestra of crickets will announce my brother’s new start.
My time here, final. My majestical brilliance must depart.

I am needed elsewhere. Others need my brilliant light.
I must go. To one and all, I wish you peace. Goodnight.

In the Far Off Corners

In the far off corners where the light does not quite reach, dark scales of gray enable
the subconscious to journey into unbelievable dimensions.

A high-pitched tone of pure silence grows insanely loud; acid covers the palette as
phobia of loneliness suffocates.

Tunneled vision from the corner of the eye, witnesses’ unexplained movements, the room
manifests a chill while the mind scurries for a logical explanation to calm to nerves.

With pounding fear, courage of sanity allows that deep breath to be taken, enabling the
head to turn towards the movements.

Surprisingly, there are only the dark gray scales, where the light does not quite reach
in the far off corners.
