Patty Juliano Poem
To The Tune of Winter Wonderland
Sleigh bells ring,
Are you in the way?
Yes you are, GOT you with my sleigh.
OH what a sight,
I’m happy tonight
dodging in a winter wonder land.
Gone away is the Blue bird,
Here to stay is a new bird.
And he still flies low,
When he has to go,
walking in a winter wonderland.
In the meadow we can build a snow man,
And pretend that he is Parson Brown,
He’ll say “are you married.”
I’ll say “Hell No!
I’d rather be tarred and feathered and run out of town!”
Later on we’ll perspire,
As we sit to close to the fire.
The rooms nice and hot,
But fellow your not,
So go walking in a winter wonderland

Patty Juliano Poem
There’s a lot that I will do,
Take my hand and I’ll go with you.
But don’t you ask, or even implore,
For me to go to, a grocery store.
On Saturday
On Saturday
Well grab a cart and go right in,
It’s the grocery game, I hope you win.
Little kids with runny nose,
Following mother were ever she goes.
Playing baseball with the apple and pears,
Mothers with the lettuce,
So she doesn’t care.
Now there’s the lady who just has to read,
Everything she buys and everything she sees.
Standing there like she owns the store,
Right in front of what you came for.
But people aren’t the only strain,
There’s the shopping cart that just can’t be tamed.
It goes left, when you want to go right,
Or squeaks so much you want to hide from sight.
Now aisle number one is a thing of the past,
But aisle number two is another task.
You squeeze the bread to see if it’s fresh,
You rip the bag and leave the bread a mess.
You decide to hide it under the rest,
Just to find others have made the fresh bread test.
The lady at the free sample stand,
Is passing out hot dogs, which come from a can.
She smiles and hands you one on a toothpick,
But, doesn’t tell you where to go, when you get sick.
The Cereal aisle is really neat,
There’s some made of corn and some made of wheat.
You discover something when you pick up the box,
To buy just one you have to own Fort Knox.
Don’t loose your cool,
You’re almost through.
The finish line is right a head of you.
You get in to the short, short line,
You think it will take a short, short time.
The clerk is new, and the bagboy is gone,
Your short, short line, takes long, long, long!
Well you get to the door,
You win, you bet.
You get to the car
What did you forget?

Patty Juliano Poem
WILLY BOCAIN
It was the fifth of December when he rode into town,
The new powdered snow was a coverin the ground. And he was big and rough.
And he was mean and tough.
And everyone ran when they heard that the name,
Of the mysterious rider was Willy Bocain.
You can’t depend on your name.
Well Willy he’s killed him at least 50 men,
The last one I heard was his very best friend.
And he was quiet and calm,
As if there was nothing wrong.
The only sound that you heard in the street,
Was the ringing of spurs upon Willy’s feet?
Willy walk on by.
Willy Bocain you’re a man half insane,
You got a lot to loose, but nothing to gain.
You can’t depend of your name.
Word got around that the reason he’d come,
Was to settle a matter with a certain someone.
We heard him call a name,
To a man who seemed quite tame?
Another stranger who was just passin by,
Had a smile on his face, but a gun by his side.
someone better ride.
Some people saw, and the story’s been told,
How they stood in the street just ignoring the cold.
The stranger stood with ease,
Willy yelled, “Get on your knees.”
The stranger laughed; “I’ve got no need to pray.”
And when the smoked cleared, one stood, one lay.
Oh who meant his day?
Willy Bocain lay as cold as the snow,
And what happened next, well, nobody knows.
Why the stranger shed a tear,
For a man that we all feared.
He got on his horse disappeared like the “SON”,
He left this town, but he took Willy’s gun.
Disappeared like the “Son”.
Willy Bocain you were a man half insane,
You lost a lot; a grave’s all you gained.
YOU CAN’T DEPEND ON YOUR NAME

Patty Juliano Poem
Look little sister, look and see,
We can be anything we want to be.
Let’s pretend we’re rich and not poor,
He was then 7 I was 4
Come my brother lets venture and play,
The sun is shining it’s such a nice day.
We found our castles in the trees we climbed,
When I was 6, he was 9.
He’d take my hand and we’d go on our way,
Giggling and laughing to school everyday.
We always made it, but after the bell,
When I was 9, and he was 12.
But the road of life changes suddenly,
And though he got bigger he had time for me.
He sometimes yelled, but was not to mean,
When I was 12, he was 15.
Then one day he was waving goodbye,
My big brother was leaving my side,
But I knew better, so I stood there proud,
We were both, 3 years older now.
Well he’s home again never to leave,
and never to walk and never to see.
For all around him the grass is green,
He would have been 20, and I 17.
Pretending at 7, then climbing at 9,
going to school, rarely on time.
Growing up strong, then moving along,
That was our life, but for him it is gone.

Patty Juliano Poem
I’d like to sit and talk to you,
There’s so much to say.
So many things have happened since,
You went away.
Can you hear me where you are?
sitting on that great big star.
Lighting up the sky,
For me to see.
You’re part of that Universe,
That people wish they could see.
But I wish you were part of this world,
sitting here with me.
I’d like to take a walk with you,
if just for a day.
Can you tell me if where you are,
Is just like they say?
Is it peaceful? Is it calm?
Is the pain really gone?
Are you missing us like we miss you?
You’re part of that Universe,
That people wish they could see.
But I wish you were part of this world,
sitting here with me.
I’ve just one more thing to say,
And then I must go.
The impact you left on me,
You’ll just never know.
And so the memories I’ll cherish them,
Till, we get to meet again,
in a place where tears will never flow.
And now you’re part of that Universe,
That people wish they could see.
But I wish you were part of this world,
Sitting here with me

Patty Juliano Poem
TIME
What do you do with the Time?
Do you feel that’s it’s so hard to find?
What do you do with the Time?
Try to fulfill, all the things on your mind.
What did you do with the day?
Did you accomplish or through it away?
What did you do with the day?
Waste precious Time, that can’t be saved.
Time always stays the same,
It’s just the people around that change.
Time never lets you down,
It’s the one thing, that’s always around
Don’t you understand?
What’s going on all over the land?
Don’t you understand?
That all through Time, we’ve been at war with man.
We were all made the same,
The only thing different is are minds and are names.
We were all made the same,
And all through Time,
that’s how we’ll remain.
Time will never stop,
It’s not a thing that’s sold or bought.
Time will never stray,
Unlike us, Time won’t fade away.

Patty Juliano Poem
What is a friend, now let me see,
A friend is someone dear to me.
They make you happy when you are sad,
And make you better when you feel bad.
A friend is someone we all need,
to talk, to laugh, to disagree.
I had some friends, but they’re all gone,
Please, don’t ask me what went wrong.
So now I start to look again,
for someone new to call a friend.
But as easy as it might seem,
To find a friend has become a dream.
They look at you and turn away,
Before they hear what you have to say.
But I am strong, and I know again,
I’ll find someone to call A friend.
