Hopeless

I am just a hopeless boy, chasing a hopeless girl
Dreaming we would dance together, take your arm and give you a twirl
I’ve always wanted to tell you I love you
 But I didn’t know what you’d do
I would always say
“Today’s the day!”
But it never ended up being true
Then one day I walked up to your door
My eyes never left the floor
I had been practicing what I needed to say
I soon got my answer when I was told you had moved away
We both grew up in a different place
All while holding onto the memory of your face
When suddenly I got the news that you were in a coma
I caught whiff of fears bitter aroma
I drove way down to where you were at
Sat down in your hospital room and took off my hat
I watch you lay motionless in bed
Until the doctor came in and said
A horrifying thing that filled me with fright
He said you wouldn’t survive the night
Hopeless, hopeless is everything
We never shared a dance, I’ve never heard you sing
We never took a drive down by lake
Never shared a slice of birthday cake
Then I felt a touch on my arm
One I knew meant no harm
I looked up to see you standing there
Beautiful body, sweet eyes, and hair
Ten months later we shared our first kiss
I learned a lesson … NEVER SAY HOPELESS

A Nickel

A old homeless man sitting on the corner, holding out a hat
People walking by saying "Gross what is that
He seems to never get up from where he sat
He might not talk, nobody knows, they don't try to chat
He sits through the cold, warmth, and blistering heat
This is not easy, no simple feat
No amount of weather has had this man beat
Layers of socks bundled up on his feet
Jackets ripped in many places, stuffing falling out
He looks to be in pain but doesn't scream or shout
He looks to be a good man, but personality is what its about
I passed him by many times when I walk out the store after I checkout
I may not be a rich man but I have change to spare
So I toss a nickel into the hat still covered with hair
He looks up to me and starts to stare
I wondered why, a nickel sounds fair
But the he says something that makes my heart feel full of lies
He says "Maybe this month I'll get a good meal of a small box of fries".
I knew I must do something before this poor man dies
Since that incident over a year ago
He has learned to adjust, and let his words flow
He had been ready to let it all go
But a nickel can change a mans life you know

Your Tears

I see tears trailing down your face
Your almost always smiling it’s so out of place
I want to comfort you wipe away that salty waste
I want to feel your lips but happiness I won’t taste
You avoid my eyes but I know what I would see
Anger and frustration all caused by me
I say don’t hate
We can still date
You yell “CONCENTRATE”
It’s too late
I hear the pitter patter of your feet
As you run you scream “I can’t love a cheat”
Without you I’m not complete
I can’t compete
I made a mistake
My hearts about to break
You’re tears create a lake
In which I am going to drown
I let you down
Please smile don’t frown
Look at me with eyes so beautiful brown
I thought our love was bound
I am like a pup in a pound
Lost but never found
My heads spinning around
Heart pounded to the ground
Can’t make a sound
This poem was meant for you
But I’m sad too
We were together for years
My tears

Dump-Date Suicide

I remember I dumped you on that one date
Two years ago I said that I would be your soul mate
I told you we would always be a pair
I told you as I held you that I’d always be there
I love, I’m sorry, there’s always another guy
Your yelling, your screaming, you keep asking why
You run into your house with tears down your face
Ripping off your dress, tearing at the lace
I hear you crying from outside
I said the words soul mate I’m sorry I lied

There is a sudden scream and the crying stopped
My face faded of color as my heart dropped
I ran to the front door which was evidently locked
My hands slipping on the doorknob as I was mocked
Right then and there I knocked down the door
I don’t care if I have to pay money I don’t care anymore
I ran to your room going over stair by stair
I open up the door to find nobody there
I searched the house, every inch
Fingers slammed in the doors but I didn’t feel a pinch
I opened up the restroom door, your lying in the bath
I was standing there right then waiting to feel your wrath
I love you girl I said but you don’t even move
So I ran to you gathered you up in my arms and felt every groove
I love you girl please answer me, please girl please
Then I saw the blood running from your wrists to your knees
I said to myself why god why god me
I’m hurting really, really bad can’t you see
So I take out my pocket knife and slit my wrists too
Cause if I’m going to die tonight I would want to die with you

Time

The clock ticks constantly
Almost to monstrosity
It makes me think of the vacancy sign I hate
Constantly going at its own lonely rate
This pencil touching this paper feels like fate
But we should get on with it for it seems the time is getting late

Remember white eyes
Hiding in the black skies
Surrounded by dark lies
In which you only find out the truth as your life’s fate unties

Tick Tock
Twelve ‘o’clock
Time to dock
The death boat
Throw me over but I won’t float
I’m like a king without a bridge to cross his moat
But time comes with death, and he won’t leave a note
You don’t get a vote

As you think time flies
Life dies
Plus we all know god lies
We cannot live forever
When death comes we’ll say never

Paranoia

Silence
Your walking
hear nobody talking
Feel someone stalking
Shiver is shocking
Silence
A sound
Behind you the ground
Feet go pound
From fright your bound
Can't look around
Silence
Break in your fear
Nothing is clear
something is near
Eyes now tear
Silence
Put distance between
Something not seen
Air seems not clean
Grass not green
Silence
Nothings the same
It calls out your name
You play it's deadly game
A monster you cant tame
Silence
Now you pay
You die or you slay
You won't last another day
Choose black or choose gray
Silence
You grab the gun
This game isn't fun
You just wanted the sun
But now your done
BANG
Silence

The Loss In Love

The loss in love
There’s one thing in love I can’t understand
While one plane stays up the other will land
When love starts for one it will never end
And for the broken heart … nothing can mend
For some love is real while others it’s just pretend
It’s either being together or denying a friend
Sadness till the end

I was happy being with you
My world ended when I lost that to

As you were on your deathbed I said I love you forever
You said you’re dying but I said never
As you lay dying there
I ran my hands through your hair
You left me like you didn’t care
Life isn’t close to fair

My life changed a lot
I lost every fight I fought
For what is now a whimper used to be a roar
The land I walk on now above I used to soar
What was once a legend is now folklore
Now I’m an apple without a core

Four Word Rhyme

Please do not say
That every single day
Is all a waste
It's just a taste
Of more to come
Cue to the drum
As if a song
But not as long
Plus without a beat
With lyrics I cheat
Flowing through my head
Morning, night, in bed
RHYMES hard to think
Mind pushed to brink
Onto paper it goes
Professional art it shows
Take away which line?
People say it's fine
But they just lie
Perfect not only try
My life stands still
Head starts to fill
Hundred pages I wrote
No reason to gloat
Happiness can't be bought
Reality is just a thought
We can live here
No death or fear
They live their own
Where problem's another stone
Having to carry around
Poems a lovely sound
Take time to think
Poetry's the missing link
What do you know
Your minds to slow
Poet's thoughts come fast
Never come in last
Certainly not the best
Up for the test
Nothings off my mind
Life's not that kind
Look into the sky
Thoughts farther than "fly"
I am extra unique
Poems past its peak
Now to say hi
Poet's never say goodbye

The Boy Who Could Write

Have you ever heard the story about the boy who could write
He would be thinking up rhymes every day and all night
But words would do more to him, not just sting but tear and bite
And his depression was so low he would go out without a fight
He never told anyone that what they did to him wasn't right
When he was asked about his bruises his face would go white
He refused to show his sadness his brain seemed airtight
He always wanted to say his poems to a crowd but he didn't deserve the light
At least that's what he always thought, that was his opinion of insight
He used to dream of being a noble knight
Now when he thinks of his dreams he silently burns them, no maybe or might
Soon he will tell everyone goodnight
And never wake up again just to deal with constant fright.

You May Think

You may think that my heart is made of stone.
But in all reality my heart bleeds for I am alone

You may think that I am tired and that's why I am always in bed
Though I am really lying there fantasizing that I am just dead

You may think that everyone has a good meaning to their life
Mine is to end it all with a knife.

You may think that my life isn't that bad
But you don't know how my heart is so intensely sad

You may think that these are just words and I am not truly feeling low
But when I suddenly stop writing you will think where did he go

You may think
