Burning Love

Hear my soul speak, love, the moment I saw you my heart was yours.
I wouldn't want my heart to belong to someone else's heavenly hands.
Hands as soft and delicate as diamond, for a diamond, cannot burn.
A heart to love, and in this heart, courage, make this love known, listen to my love. My love burning.
Hear my heart sing the airs of love, the airs of the morning birds. Singing. Singing the melody of the rejoiced city in the dewy morning time of fall. Fall into the smell of autumn winds and baked bread.
Love begins with time, and time creates its spark and fire, the burn of love, ignite my love.
Let the city see our fire and let it see our burn.
Autumn leaves red like the fire we have created love.
Burn down the city with your love. Let them feel your love, let them see you, love.
For only a blind man cannot see her beauty.
But he can still feel.
Feel it, love, feel the heat and fire burn the piles of earth, the piles of sad hearts
Our love is so powerful that it begs to be felt.
This love of mine
This burn of mine
This love on fire.
Mine and mine
Burn.

With a Heart Like Mine

With a heart like mine, no one would be damaged
Bones, hearts, souls wouldn't be broken.
I would wrap you in my motherly arms and wash all the pain away.
I hear you, I understand you.
With a heart like mine sorrow, wouldn't exist.
Your guilt and hatred for others would fade like the frost on a window seal.
I know you, I am you.
With a heart like mine, life would be infinite.
The drums would never stop and the rhythm would keep flowing.
Thump, Thump, Thump
I hear you, I feel you.
I am you.

My Friend, Depression

I know you.
I've always known you.
You're with me unfailingly.
You go where I go, an endless cycle.
A carousel at a fair, you are.
But you don't play fair.
You are a virus, a cadaverous plaque.
You attach yourself to me and wait until I am alone to slink yourself into my veins.
I live and breathe you, like poisonous gas.
I can feel you in the corner of the dark, blank room.
Waiting for a smile to appear on my face, so you can force it into a frown and paralyze my thoughts.
Hovering, watching, and waiting for me to pour onto the floor, so you can pretend to help pick me back up.
I am suffocating in you.
I can't breathe the clean air I use to breathe anymore
I'm chained to my inevitable grieve, and you have the key.
But I am too weak to fight back to you.
So I will wait until you, my dearest friend, feel like the damage is done.
My friend, Depression.

Hate

Growing up it was a beautiful place
You were never judged for your gender, your race.
Fires were never started to kill.
And racism, when we were young, was never real.
Down the street was where we use to play.
Now we have to watch what we wear or what we say.
People ignore you when you say "I'm not okay"
Depression was a big deal but now it's what everyone likes to say.
Back then the only thing the cops did was pull over your car.
But in this day and age, some of these cops are taking it too far.
They got a gun, a weapon strapped on their side.
Cant admit to your doings cause you got too much pride.
Stop with the gunshots, the killings, the innocent people getting shot.
What's the point of freedom of speech if there ain't a whole lot.
Our ancestors did bad and made storms we cannot weather.
But that doesn't mean our generation cant change for the better.
So I ask, end the racism, the killings, the stress.
Keep your head up and pray, gods got the rest.

Are You Sure

Are you sure you want to be with me?
And deal with my overthinking, my mood swings?
I have abandonment issues, are you sure you want to have to constantly be with me because I'm scared of you letting go.
You say I don't have to worry so much but when you mention that it makes me worry more.
I worry that I worry too much for you.
You don't have to stay.
I don't want your pity or fellow feelings.
I know that I am broken and I know that you can only stand so much so….
Are you sure?
I rant a lot to you because if I hold it in I am a catastrophic bomb and I promise you I am prone to chasing people away with my palliating sadness.
Are you sure you want me?
Because I am a person looking through the blinds of a dirty window.
I can't see or tell whether you are here for me or yourself.
So you get to choose.
