Too tired to think
Too tired to talk
Too tired to take 
Even a walk

Too tired I say 
Perchance I must fall
Too tired to take
Even a  call

If this is my lot
If this is my stay
How can I even 
Begin to pray?

Here she comes
Riding on the wind
Sensing all the chill
Feigning not a thing

There she goes
As her garment flows
Into hands of time 
And for love sublime

Now she bends
Singing on a sigh
While she sits on high
At the golden helm

Oh we know

Making new clothes
Sewing chilies
Ironing out problems today
Tonight washing tears away
Cooking up a quarrel

And building discord

Jail To Fame

Joseph so refused to sin
He ended up in jail 
Jesus too refused to sin
And He never did fail

His God kept kept Him so safe
While He languished in pain
His God kept Him sane
And kept Him in His lane
Of truth and righteousness
And beauty for His dress
Peace and glory He had gained
After He had not complained

Joseph rose from jail to fame
From the rough end of the ride
And to him the glory came 
With God always by his side

Sow the wind and reap the storm 
All along you’ll be forlorn
Take the bull and ride him down
Aways watching for your turn
Take the kettle by the steam
Down!

Wait for rain while dancing free
Never more you lady see
Create anger and the thrill
Of your bounding in the hills
Fight the giants in the dale
And come shouting up the trail
Shout!

Blowing the whistle at the mill
And your teammates get a thrill 
If you cry then it’s too late
For the masters at the gate 
Take the handle and the spear 
And advance for victory’s near

I depend on You
For strength and grace
For all my trying needs the space

All my efforts have been in vain
And only You can take the strain
All along You sheltered me
But now You set me free

I know You’ll stand in times of dread
I have that certainty in my head
I take for granted You’ll be there
And every burden You will share

If You ask me to call on You
I take Your promise to be true
However steep the climb may be

Go away blue can
Go away cane
Come to us another time
Use another name
Are you fighting?

Just because you saw a pond
Didn’t mean you had to swim
Just because you found a gown
Was not time to tie the knot 

A knockout yes, yes I know
But it is for another time 
And another place for all 
This is the end of this day

Come with me to another place
Another happier time
When peace walked in the streets
And joy talked to all our kind

Your future holds you know not now
But one thing I can see

Join us today for lunch I say
I will have it no other way
For with me you will eat and pray
And put all knowledge of pain away

The meal will be lovingly served today
The table set and dishes will display
All the time I took to search and pay
For memories we have hidden away

Come down now and join the fray
I will not let you get away
You have run too far but today
I want you to come and stay

I know you’re in there
Even though you train
Your hand to be so still
And your lips are silent

Come out, you stress me 
So that I am stretched
To the limits of strength 
And all my dizziness

Go away, let me alone
This madness must stop
This was never whole
And so never will be

It is far too late 
For you to stay here
Where you can never see 
The vision of your face
