If I Could Jump In a Rainbow

If I could jump in a rainbow
And soak up the rays
It still wouldn’t compare
To the love of my Babe
He showers me with sentiments
He explains how he feels
He gives us a future
And makes fantasy become real
I can’t quite remember my life before him
And he thinks the same
We are brainwave twins
My life has no past
It seems I’ve forgotten
Like it was molded or rotten
With my baby it’s all new
Life started the day
I met my true best friend
Confidant and lover for always

Made Out of Glass

So many things for us to do today
Here’s a few, what do you say

Call an old friend
And discuss remember whens

Send out some smiles
Watch them spread just like fire

Help someone keep living
Without asking for a ribbon

Clean out a drawer
Give the extra to the poor

Sweep the webs from the corners
Watch out for those hoarders

Clean up your mind
Erase the dirt and the grime

Nourish your soul
Read an inspirational poem

Thank God above
For His countenance and love

Find an activity
Where you’ll smile and feel giddy

Just be your best self
Don’t keep your good on a shelf

Remember our masks
Are made out of glass

The Worst Hiking Buddy

You’re the world’s worst hiking buddy
How did we end up so muddy
Not even sure we can scrub it!

How would I know
Can’t stick my hand in that hole
I thought you had the first aid kit

Yea I dragged a little back
Put too much in my pack
Still we came here to walk as a team

So I wore the wrong socks
Got my foot stuck in the marsh
I figured you knew a way through the stream

I got some cool pictures
Don’t forget to text me those few vintage
I didn’t have time to give my phone a full charge

What else is there to talk about
We’re in the woods isn’t that where Bigfoot’s at
You know they say he still runs at large

I know I saw a cell tower
Had to call my mom on the hour
I can’t believe you left me behind!

I’d be here till I’m old
If it wasn’t for that dog
For all that has happened I’ll whine, humph

So where are we going next weekend?

A Touch of Crunch Today For Lunch

Put the jelly or the jam
On the peanut butter san
With bananas or fluff
I can’t get enough

Just put it in my hand
That peanut butter san
Some ripe berries sliced
Are oh so nice

Put the jelly or the jam
On the peanut butter san
With bananas or fluff
I can’t get enough

Apricot or grape
Those jellies are great
Where’s my spreader
Don’t need more contenders

Put the jelly or the jam
On the peanut butter san
With bananas or fluff
I can’t get enough

How about a touch
Of peanut butter crunch
That’s what I want
Today for lunch

Put the jelly or the jam
On the peanut butter san
With bananas or fluff
I can’t get enough

Peanut butter, I love you!*
I will always love you
I told you that before though, right?
You are soooo nice...

*spoken from here to end

Thank You To My Pillow

I’m glad you have two sides
So I can switch you through the night
I have to feel that cool spot
On my face to feel just right

At first I just start turning you
To make you feel ok
Your fluffiness doesn’t matter to me
It’s your coolness that I crave

You may say that I’m crazy
But with you I do sleep better
When I reach and turn you over
You are the perfect temperature

I hold you oh so tight at night
You never let me down
No matter what I say to you
You never ever frown

You’re warm and fluffy when I’m cold
And full of coolness when I’m hot
You never say a word to me
Despite my midnight plots

I turn you several times a night
And always sing your praise
I’m so happy that you don’t complain
Even through your lonely days

I can’t be with you always
Though I think of you quite often
I daydream we’ll be together
As soon as I leave the office

I know you’ll always be right there
Exactly where I left you
You jump just when you feel my touch
As soon as I need to hold you

Thank you for your comfort
And support on those cold nights
And especially for your coolness
All those times I held you tight

A Little Doggie Missile Immune To a Whistle

She’s a little missile
Hears my whistle
Pretends it’s a whisper
Too busy with her sniffer

Every doggie has a nose
Some worth more than gold
My little one, uses hers for fun
She ignores me in her hunts

It smells good everywhere
She doesn’t care just where
But catching her’s no fun
When I call she’s off to run

How to get her back
Will she listen if I snap
What about a snack
That I’ll carry in my pack

She’s a little missile
Hears my whistle
Pretends it’s a whisper
Too busy with her sniffer

Maybe I can give
A toss to a twig
Oh forget that she’s more beagle
Than she’ll ever be retriever

I’d rather not chase
Seems a little haste
Maybe just wait
Till the squirrel scent dissipates

You know they trained her kind
From way back in old times
It’s ingrained in her blood
To follow scents for fun

She’s a little missile
Hears my whistle
Pretends it’s a whisper
Too busy with her sniffer

No Dessert With a Broken Wrist

I can’t believe today that I broke my wrist!
And I can’t push the button for the cream that’s whipped
How am I to eat an ice cream sundae?
Without that white topping that brings it thunder
And what am I to do when I want some jello?
Cause on top of that dessert whip cream is stellar
Oh woe is me now that I broke my wrist!
I can’t get the cap off since it needs a twist
Maybe I can borrow you for this?
Then together we can dream of ice cream bliss

I Was Burned By My Burrito

I was burned by my burrito
Just a simple snack for me yo
I was burned by my burrito, my burrito

My hunger pangs were panging
My tummy it was aching
I figured a quick snack
Would end my crave attack

I was burned by my burrito
Just a simple snack for me yo
I was burned by my burrito, my burrito

I found the coolest snack with meat
A simple twisted treat
A 60 second nuke away
From a happy snacking craze

I was burned by my burrito
Just a simple snack for me yo
I was burned by my burrito, my burrito

As soon as the ding went off
I grabbed it up so fast
I didn’t let it cool a minute to keep my hand from harm
To make it worse I also felt the red hot sauce and pain shoot down my arm

I was burned by my burrito
Just a simple snack for me yo
No it wasn’t a mosquito
I was burned by my burrito, my burrito

Oh that hurts *
Ow ow girl, what’s wrong with you girl *
(Shake your head)
And all I wanted was a simple tasty treat*

*these lines are spoken and not sung

You Are Peanut Butter

I love you so much
I’d compare you to lunch
Although you're not chunky
Like that ice cream called monkey
You're peanut butter
When I'm desperately hungry
I'd love to see
You stay with me
And bring to pass
My dreams at last
My heart speeds up
When I see your mug
And no I’m not asking
For root beer exactly
Oh I hear your voice
You're my only choice
When you're around
I can't stay down
My spirit soars
When you're at my door
Oh honey pie
Will you be mine
You look so cute
In your hiking boots
And your crooked smile
It drives me wild
Hold me now
Oh don't stop wow
My heart’s on fire
You take me higher
Still You have no clue
How much I love you

Do You See It Yet

I don’t think you realize
How much love is in my eyes

To measure it would surely defy
The volume of even the clouds in the sky

Do you know I love you more dearly than blueberry pie
And even some more than freshly salted fries

Do you see it yet
Oh there’s nothing to regret

Keep reading my love till you know all the reps
For my love for you surpasses all that you’d suspect

Even chocolate is less scrumptious
When I think about you pumpkin

I wish I knew enormous words
And every single kind of term

To describe how much I feel for you
And keep our feelings all in tune

And You know ice cream is my favorite dessert
But I’d give it up just to flirt

Can you see now that my love for you
Could even cross the ocean blue

I’m hoping soon that I will spy
A special twinkle in your eye

So look over here one more time
You really are a cutie pie!
