A Daughter

A daughter~

Believe in the space between us, and in the force that ties us in.

We never have to try for who we are as one.

Like the tide to the moon and the fierceness of

the sun.

I’d wipe your tears from heaven for my hand is already there

I’ll be blind forever,
it will never be the same.

Y
ou changed my view on everything, now all the worlds beauty is in your name

If only I had an island far off in the sea...
And a blaze of fire around you and me

But, I hear the horns out in the distance and the fierceness of the sun

I think your ship is
coming in baby

then, with your finger wrapped around mine, and your little head up on my chest

I wake up from a dream,

there goes little girl,

my baby is 16 ....

Dad

Theres a thin layer a fine line between me and Yau

like the moon and the skyline

We’re intertwined-

You’re not a ghost you’re just really mine,

the times rewind in my mind your eyes fall to the ground, I’d be running around-

you’d yell from your room

“And there she goes”.

Don’t worry dad I’ll be in soon.

Now you’re all the way up on the moon and I wait by your bedside

I don’t wanna say good bye dad

Your the best friend I ever had

You taught me the most valuable thing I know-

to let it all roll—-

That jo-smo is just a clueless ******* and no one knows how to define me

No ones half Witt narcissism should blind me

That freed me- when I’m walking with my shoulders high and some guy tries to trip me I know you’re with me

“ahhh the hell with him”—-
“Come sit with me- lets have some fun and sing”

“Maybe to New York New York or something”

There’s a lesson in everything-

You teach classrooms and read books

But you taught me life stuff

When to fight and when enough is enough.....

and...

where to go no matter who wins

Chin up

You’re my everything

“Dad do you misjudge me”?

“Why, I would never misjudge you, I love you, you’re my daughter”.

“I know what you mean dad I love you too”.

You and me
We roll like the sea
As the thunder growls under our feet

Look dad across the sea meet me there deep in my dreams

Please dad don’t disappear
Now I know what life means

Let me do it better give me one more chance, come here

Then the sky lit up and the thunder rolled i kissed you upon your head “please tell mom I love her”...

 I drove for a while,

And ended up at the end of your road-

It was a house at the end of a road

My home-

Somewhere in the words you spoke In the feeling of Christmas Eve j
In your kiss upon by forehead
I believed that you loved me
Through the forest and the trees open fields whether daisys or weeds
Mountains high through the clouds
Fierce winds as your voice is loud
Lightening bolts and thunder rolls
You were home-

as I drove away after saying goodbye the sky opened up and the rain poured
I said a prayer-“please guide him to my mother lord... he’ll be lost and lonely for all he knew was his family.
Especially her, his beautiful, Mary”.

My dad

I’m proud you are my dad

I’ll see you soon, for now you’re watching over me, the man on the moon!

One Little Hope

I’d give you my breath,
I’d break records
I’d plunge to my death-
I’ll write you songs and sing them to you over intercoms

I’d pierce the moon with diamonds and gold and tell it to rain on you till your old and hold you in my arms and sing you those songs to your FACE

IVE GOT NOTHING TO LOSE AND YOU TO GAIN

HOLD THIS UMBRELLA WITH ME IN THE RAIN

OR LAY IN MY BED And listen to the rain

hit the tin roof over our heads

I’ll paint your toes—— and who knows
I
maybe I’ll let you paint mine
L
I just want to be with you forever

Baby I’m tryin

Every day the traffic home the breath I take when you’re on the phone
A ton of s fall of my shoulders —

like- let’s just kick back when we get older
Somewhere in the Florida sun
Well wear hoodies at night, sit outside and listen to our wind chimes - it’ll be fun

And all these plans could change tomorrow
So if I see you go another way,, I’ll just follow

Because it doesn’t matter where we go
Our souls together- ....that’s home !

And when we fade into the sky our children will keep us alive and continue to walk down the path we paved

Because of one little hope that we saved...

The Man On the Moon

Hey Dad,

You and I, we're tidal waves
We are ten thousand forests up in a blaze....

I've been looking for you for days and days!!!
Where have you been?

ill be waiting over here
by the horizon.

I hope I see you real soon,

I sure do miss the man on the moon!
