Jeff Volling Poem
A hilltop covered in yellow and green
Reveals secrets long unseen
A quiet stillness pierces the air
As nature makes clear that she is still there
A barren landscape, or so it seems
Void of grass or lakes or streams
Yet if you listen carefully for the sounds
Soon you'll find that life abounds
Upon us did nature this treasure bequeath
A constant reminder to look just beneath
And that if we don't train our eyes
The world's splendors will be hidden in plain disguise

Jeff Volling Poem
Upon a landscape snowy and bright
Sun glistens in flakes along their flight
Down into a home they've never known
Guided by a resilience they've always shown
A deer bounds close and seems to hear
As my footsteps near
Briefly, it turns to look
Majestic as though from a book
All around, life sings its familiar song
Suddenly, I realizs what's been wrong
In the quest for our money
We have disrupted nature's harmony

Jeff Volling Poem
As the fireplace crackles a familiar song
I begin to realize what has been wrong
This gripping fear that has been limiting me
Fades as I overcome my anxiety
Slowly, as the falling snow outside
I no longer feel the need to hide
My pain turns to strength - with depression I am done
Illumimated by a bright sky with no sun
My world perfumed by fragrant pine
Understanding that I'll be fine
Finally, I have found my soul
Healed, once again I feel whole
