What Were We

like lightning flashes by
It all went on so quickly, despite all the risks we allowed our love take control
Shouting the rest of the world away
My heart would take time to heal

like a joke, I played with my feeling
For the first time I put me before all other
and will do all over again
Our moments spent together were well pleasing
but are very unforgettable

like the universe, we couldn't define what we were
but what we felt is real
Held each other so close and letting go each time was like inseparable
Like putting apart of ingredients of a tea

like the life of a mosquito, it was a short experience but with life time memories
With every conversation so touching
Every kiss so healing, tho they're countable

like Russia and Ukraine, we are at war
Could we ever move pass this?
Could we be vulnerable around each other again?
Will we ever be mad at each other for no reason again?

like math 101, these questions are hard to answer
Gap hard to fill, unreachable distance now
What were we? did us even happen?
I miss you everyday LîÑk

Corruption, the Blindfold

POET- Wilmot Benny Bullo

POEM- CøRrupTïøn, The blindfold

Blindfolded like that of the movie Bird box
Our minds have been blindfolded, and at times I ask myself will corruption
Which has been married to our nation and seek divorce be eliminated?

Integrity has become a thing of the past and has been laid down to rest since and it grave has never been decorated with savouring colours but with colours of frustration

Corruption has rained in every part of the nation and our houses have been flooded to the roof
Now we are homeless, and we roam the earth with tears

Killing anyone who stands in it way and leaving their families in tears and justice will never be served cause the doers are the investigators

Hailing those corrupt leaders at the highest level and putting an end to those lives who fight against it like an animal

We no longer see the positive things because our eyes are covered in dark by that endless blindfold and only God can save us from this agony

Lonely Days

She mourns the lost of her happiness.
She regrets the day her eyes saw him.
Staying all her days in tears and pain.
She dances to the sound of her heart beats.

Sedately does her heartbeat and cry for help.
Seeking joy which has been stolen.
Sardonically does her name sounds in the ear of other.
Seldom does she have a sleep.

She is lost in the wood,
South has become north.
Sleep has become a gold dash for her.
Sable has her heart become when his name is call.

Sadly, her joy has been buried by her decision.
Swimming in pool full of her tears cause by her agony.
Sitting in the chair of uncertainty.
Sharing love has put her in the bad of loneliness.

That Day

Am not taking bath but there's water.
It's summer but I can feel the wet.
For the first time in long time there's water.
But this time rolling down my face, passing through my eyes.
Can't tell how long it has been but longer than I remember.
Can't tell how much hurts my heart has been through.
But for sure there's tear after all this while.

It's still unbelievable and as I sit thinking of the pain It cause her, I can't forgive myself.
Could I save her or made her change her destination.
For the first time I can't feel my heart and my body has gone cold.
Dad always tell me don't you cry when you are down but mom, there's tear everytime I blinking.
Oh, am in pain cause it's tearing me down.
It will take me all my life to get through this.

Count Me In

As we strive to make the world a better place
                Count me in
As the world stands against rape
                Count me in
As we no longer allow our past define our future
               Count me in
As we reach for higher education to build a better future
                Count me in
As we no longer allow our skins colours define our capabilities
               Count me in

As the world stands against drugs abuse and addiction
              Count me in
As societal issues no longer stand in our way
              Count me in
As we speak on issues face by youths
              Count me in
As young people allow their talent pave their way
              Count me in
As we fight to unite the world
             Count me in

My Vote

Am your birth right
It’s your right to protect me
Am the foundation of democracy
I have no running mate and no family

Am not to be sold
There’s no money that can buy me
Some misused me like cloths
While others sell me like bread

Why you think people wanna buy me
I give you the right to choose
Some think am the people’s thing
Am the key to your child’s future

I am not violent nor war
I should not by use base on sentiment
Am not a gender, rich, poor or an educated
your vote is your responsibility

Letter To My Unborn Child

Empathy is the first foundation of love
If you need to be loved then why others shouldn't be
If you need to be cared for then why others shouldn't be
Let only one thing stop you from loving and let it be death
Let it be when your heart no longer feel pain
Let it be when your hands are too cold to feel the heat

I might not be there to teach you how but let your heart lead the way
Don't love because of the ones colour , education, beauty, sexual orientation, nationality, religion, disability but because everyone deserves to be
With all the forces from the four corners of the earth
Let non stop your heart from loving
Not even me should

Make not my mistake nor that of your mother
The are more mirrors then you can count
They are in everyone that walk pass you
Don't pay hate for hate, jealousy for jealousy
Love mama nature and give her all the care
Let this be told to your unborn generation
That love is the only answer

Age of Desperation

ÀgË Øf desperation

Age of sorrow, happiness , anger, pain.
Age when you feel all is yours
And you want to feel every moment
When your don’t want to listen to advice
Age of lost and gain

Age were you wanna make all the friends in the world
At the age were you want to be where the new things are
Age where you feel people are against you
Age when you make friends and enemies
Oh, the teenagers of today

Our greatest desires become sex
fashion, money, phone and liquor
We desire not the things of God
We dream of dreams that are not reality
Age of desperation

Age where we become the most of us just for a short term
Our greatest fears are face
yet we want the most of it
Age where we get in too many relationship just to fine the right one
Age of desperation

We want the most of life
Willing to give what we have to get what we can’t afford
Making our wants our needs
Age of desperation
