David Ella Poem
In your presence, I suddenly rediscovered my name
It was hidden under the cloak of foolish pride
A self contained the mirage that dulled my perception of what was real and of truth
My eyes now unveiled of imageries clouded in cancer
As once before, I only saw people as shadows
And their backdrop as nothing but random interludes
Your life size tenderness bleeds unto my unformed consciousness
An arranged feast between a shamed thief and a generous princess
Now painted in vibrant hues is the intensity of our communion
A freed slave, I once before wore over me the a gown clothing my naked anonymity
And in grandeur I now assumed an identity, a pride of place
No longer orphaned in the void that echoed my entrapped soul

David Ella Poem
From an inkling, a mirror image of lust is burned at the back of the mind
for this, love is the poison arrow as shot by our insatiable desires - love itself, so behind
Self indulgence in the guise of commitment, where romance engages the eros dance
behind it, is a ballad of an unsacred tune that plays the mind into a trance
To own and to enslave, not of soul but of body
the heart here is eclipsed, the heart is in a malady
There's flesh to burn, bones to grind and minds to disengage
the flame that burns is filled by the substance 'erotoxins' that overflows past the gauge
The subjects thirst hungrily as the willing slaves
the place of their accursed captivity, is where love raves
