Cages

In Life we were free
As free as Birds
We could fly around and do as we please
We could touch the skies and walk on moons
We held Life in our hands
And cherished it until the ends
Now a fatal virus flows through our lives
It knocks over all possibilities in Life
It crushes our hopes and dreams
It destroys the values of Life
Now we struggle to fly towards Freedom
We are like Birds in Cages
Locked away from Life behind bars
Fed only Fear instead of Hope
Dreaming only of Death instead of Life
We are like Birds in Cages

Corona

It’s 2020
It’s a new year
My resolutions are clear this year
Many places to go, Many things to try
First came winter, then came spring
I thought spring break was meant to be
But then this virus hit our town
It hit us hard, It knocked us down
Life will never be the same again
So close your doors and stay inside
Don’t let this virus infect you so hide
You better hide, so hide
Don’t take risks just stay inside
Corona, They call this virus Corona—and COVID-19
Life will never be the same again
People are dying, People are fighting
My family and friends are probably dying
This virus won’t go, It’s giving me a headache
Corona, They call this virus Corona—and COVID-19
When will life be normal again
This virus just broke my heart, it broke my heart
My life is falling apart, it’s falling apart
Corona, They call this virus Corona—and COVID-19

Life Has Gone

"The trees are dying, the sun’s not shining
No birds are singing, Their music stopped playing
The wind stopped blowing, The river’s not flowing
Life is fading, it’s fading away"

Life Is Fading

Life is fading, it’s fading away
The trees are dying, the sun’s not shining
No birds are singing, Their music stopped playing
The wind stopped blowing, The river’s not flowing
Life is fading, it’s fading away
The butterflies don’t fly
The hummingbirds don’t hum
The grasshoppers don’t hop
Life is fading, it’s fading away
There are no stars, no moon, no sun
There is no light to guide us
We must find our way through the dark
To find the switch that turns on Life
Life is fading, it’s fading away
Life is like a flower
It’s beautiful and delicate
But because of these dark changes
It’s wilting, It’s dying
Life is fading

The Key To Life

Life has disappeared
For we have feared It is lost
But Life is a treasure that can be found
It is locked away
We must look near and far
To find the Key to Life
The Key that answers our prayers
For Life is locked away
When the Key is found
Our hopes will be around
Around to see what God has found
