Life Is Fading
Life is fading, it’s fading away
The trees are dying, the sun’s not shining
No birds are singing, Their music stopped playing
The wind stopped blowing, The river’s not flowing
Life is fading, it’s fading away
The butterflies don’t fly
The hummingbirds don’t hum
The grasshoppers don’t hop
Life is fading, it’s fading away
There are no stars, no moon, no sun
There is no light to guide us
We must find our way through the dark
To find the switch that turns on Life
Life is fading, it’s fading away
Life is like a flower
It’s beautiful and delicate
But because of these dark changes
It’s wilting, It’s dying
Life is fading
