Amber Meli Poem
The attack of Pearl Harbor
Such a devastating day,
Unexpected bombs, hit and destroyed
The Hawaiian Islands.
Other than the brave men
Who lost their lives trying to
Defend our blessed country,
there was another group who stepped up
To help with such a hopeless disaster.
They were not men at all,
But women in white
Wearing a red cross on their hat.
These women who took on big challenges,
That not only changed their lives, but ours today.
Even though we had lost thousands
Those women tried their best to give them life,
Some failed, but never gave up,
Even when they were exhausted and traumatized.
They were diligent and caring
We called them nurses, but they were more than that,
They were heroes, the angels of Pearl Harbor.

Amber Meli Poem
In my mind, is full of creativity
It gets the best of me
And gives me all these possibilities.
Dreaming it gives me hope and a smile
From being immortal or running in a
second, a mile.
Although, I know its just a desire
And it's true to say
Imagination is what artists require
to make it through a genuine day.

Amber Meli Poem
There are days when I'm angry, frustrated, or worried
When I feel like my life is falling apart,
Where am I headed to?
Only God knows my future.
Then there are days when I'm happy and confident,
Though I'm still boiling with negativity,
For I wish it would go away
Because I'm young and have to enjoy my life.
I'm at the cross-roads of my destiny,
Will I follow the path of misery,
Or the path of...Is there really a path of happiness?
If so, I will find it and go.

Amber Meli Poem
One night at a party,
A guy comes up to a girl,
Asks her if she wants to dance
And says she completes his world.
Two years later, the same boy,
Texts a girl and pushes send,
Saying, "Do you believe in love at first sight,
Or should I walk by again?"
Five years later, same stupid boy,
At a club, gazing at another honey
Moved closer to her and whispered,
"If beauty were time, you'd be eternity."
Ten years down, same but older boy,
Said,"If you were my secret, you'd be a keeper",
The angry chicks jumped and slapped him and,
Whispered,"If you were my pet, I'd call you Creeper."

Amber Meli Poem
Being wealthy and joyous too,
Can this happen?
Can it be true?
For I'm not rich,
So I could not say
That you could be happy
And earn much pay.

Amber Meli Poem
Sixteen years of searching,
Its done me no good.
I haven't found the right man yet,
A man who shows that he loves me,
Who protects me
And who is dangerous.
I read about this man,
But does he not exist?
It's so hard to find you,
Edward Cullen.

Amber Meli Poem
Dark and cold as dawn sets in
And the grass is moist by the dew
So serene and blessed
How morning suddenly grew.
The sky lightens
Ready to greet the sun
The plants eagerly await
To soak in the heat as one.
Noon awakes, knowing its job
Is to warm the world
No wonder the sun is a god
Just hear the stream purl.
Soon the day turns to dusk
And the leaves continue to fall
The animals find their way home
As the sun sends its last call.
Darkness overshadows the light
And all that is visible are lit pumpkins
Until the sky welcomes the moon
More is seen when the shine begins.
Now nothing can take this away
That day and that night
The start of autumn
A mesmerizing sight.

Amber Meli Poem
I'm alone when I see his face
He brings shivers down my body
I don't know if I'm scared
Or if I'm unsure of his mysteries.
Standing there, I find myself closer
Wanting, desiring his love
Still I hesitate to approach
While he gazes at me with impenetrable eyes.
Frozen with curiosity
And longing for affection,
I just glance at him
Hoping for movement.
Stepping back, I feel alone
But he walks toward me,
Giving a seductive look
And runs his fingers down my cheek.
There's no turning back
Now that I'm lifting off my feet,
Carried to the bed
In such a passionate way.
His kiss, so intimate
It provokes my body,
Feeling his chest upon mine
There's no place I'd rather be.
He whispers in my ear,
"I shall turn you"
No fear comes over me,
But uncertainty.
Gently he bites my neck,
Not exactly hurting,
Just feeling numb and calm
For I love him and will risk it all.
