I'M Rebooting

Yes, you shut me down. But I'm rebooting. I start again, for this is my destiny to begin again. I will do better than ever, to make one laugh, cry and celebrate. Yes, I will come alive, with Hope, Joy and well being. You will love me even more. So, check on me each week for something new. Maybe even exciting. For I m rebooting.

You Have Done Me Wrong

So after all these years I've spent with you, you have done me wrong. By letting my name disappear, you have done me wrong. I'm sad and hurt, but I won't let you treat me this way. For I know I am good and in a special way I'll rise again. So, you have hidden my name under new and you have taken my Poems and scaittered them away. But I am good and I will rise again. My name--Marilyn and I am a Poetress and Just like Maya, I will rise again. So, hide me, cover my name. My poems will rise again.

A Christmas Wish For New Years

With so much dying of the souls and so much killing of the people and so many protests, I can't count them all. I want for 2021: people to be Humankind. To love like you used to; to care. That the new vaccines save more lives; than were taken. That the people of these United States come together as one voice in victory overall That 2021 will be the best year ever for Joy, Love, Peace, Caring, and coming together for our new President and Administration. Yes, Yeah, Why not?

The Things That Go On

The way people behave during a Pandemic, the way some people behave when they lose or don't win. The way one puts hope into dreams and they fade. Are the things that go on. It's some times scary and some times bold, the acts they do that unfold. It puts one in an undo light while marking souls for a bad plight. I'd like things to go just my way, but not at the expense of someone else's day. We hold these truths to be self-evident, not to be decadent. What are these ways people show there strength. And some don't because of no spine. What do we follow for strength and grace. And are not left behind. There are rules we must follow and not give in to our sorrows. We are human after all, with free will. And at some point in our lives, we come to the realization there is only one way. Not ours. The American Way.

I Write To Save a Soul

I write to save souls for there are many to be saved. I write to what I am thinking of the day's gone cold. I write, I write to free up the messy content of the world. I must write for I am driven by spirit. Writing is a joy for me and I write to bury my sorrows. Yes, I write to keep up with the day's events and to tune down that which is bad. In writing, I get it all out while I keep some of it in. You hear me write these verses. just as a song. I prolong. Feel the moments pass by and the living wait. For I am writing to you from Heaven's gate.

My Country, My Vote

I am rising to the occasion of my existence by my Vote. And that someone of power is trying to erase that is ludricious. I existence by my ability to Vote. No one can take that away. No one. My Foundling Fathers have died for the privilege of the Vote. I am following in the steps of my Foundling Fathers. DO NOT SAY I DON'T COUNT BECAUSE I CANNOT VOTE. That is the only existence I have to show I exist in these Americas. DON'T SAY I DON'T EXIST; THAT MY VOTE DOESN'T COUNT. I rise to this occasion with my one and only existence; my vote.
