Tabassum Khan Poem
FALLEN ANGLES
They dared to dream
They dared to question
Wanted what wasn't meant to be
Craved that which wasn't theirs
When nothing happens without consent Divine
Why this longing in the hearts of hearts...
When we weren't meant to be
Why did our paths cross in this endless sea?
The pain, the anguish whatever the reason be
Couldn't we be a parivy to the secrets and mysteries?
Questions went unanswered
Every voice, each scream echoed back
Flowers turned to ashes,
Ashes that blinded the eyes
And the dreams turned into nightmares
As they fell from the heavens
One last question..... Why?
They didn't know the truth
The fallen angles aren't graced with answers......

Tabassum Khan Poem
The quest
I played sweet songs of love
Yet the strings threw flames borrowed from hell itself
I cried tears of blood and screamed like a banshee
Wandered the Moors, the woods
The desolate wilderness
Watched the seasons unfold
The dry dead earth gushing forth with life
The life ebbing out letting winters reign supreme
Saw the beauty of a butterfly emerging from pupa
Behled petals of a flower carried away by winds
The miracles of life and death
Birth and re birth....the eternal circle
Yet my heart ached and throbbed like a swollen blister
For what is beauty without the sight of beloved
What is love without someone to share it with....

Tabassum Khan Poem
TILL WE MEET AGAIN...
In my mind I planted a thousand smiles, many more sighs
I planted a million seeds
I knew not what colour or kind
Aeons passed, seasons came and went
It took a while......
One by one each blossomed into a flower
Not even a single speck of empty space was left anywhere
The sight, unparalleled, intoxicating
From afar it was but a sea of crimson
Only when did I get closer that I realised ....
Those were poppy flowers
I had sown a field of poppy flowers.
So I closed my eyes and enjoyed the slumber deep.....
Till the day we meet
