Man and Beast

He's climbing up the snowcapped mountains,
higher and higher.
He stops and rests, then gets up and
walks and walks
then finds the right place,
there he will wait, just him and his camera.
One hour passes, then two then three still he hasn't seen a thing, but he will stay,
he knows they don't like to come out in the day.
After sometime he drifts asleep
Then wakes when he hears a sound
He grabs his camera, and looks up, there it is
a beautiful creature, the snow leopard, standing right there, just a few feet away,
the man's initial intentions evaporate, as he watches the creature in awe.
The only picture taken is the one of the mind,
a memory, where man and beast courses collide.

Light

I'm sure Your glory filled the stable with light
A haven for the darkness of night.

I'm sure the manger became a hallowed sight
When Your presence made it bright.

A tattered stable filled with the highest King.

Angels bent low while they sang

" The whole world has been filled with light, For Christ has been born tonight."

I'M Safe

The clouds tears are falling on the ground.
Lightning is striking all around.
I won't cry nor in fear will I shake.
I'm safe.
I am safe.

The rain is like music to me.
It falls in perfect melody.
The thunder adds to the symphony.
I'm safe.
I am safe.

No matter how fierce the storm may be,
I know my God is protecting me.
He turns the rain to songs for me.
I'm safe.
I am safe.

That Kite Will Fly

Keep on trying, that kite will fly, smooth like an eagle, high in the sky.

Though right now it may seem like this can't be done, and you may want to give up because of all the taunts, when your flying your kite next to the sun, all your trouble will be paid of.

Soon enough you and your kite will be zooming by each kid that gave up, on the first few tries.

So let them laugh each time your kite falls, soon enough you'll be having a ball.

Yes, soon enough, when your kite flies smooth like an eagle, high in the sky.

Endless Staircase

Solomon planted vineyards, built houses, was a king, and had fame,
yet he still said it all was meaningless, and that all his work was done in vain.
Solomon enjoyed pleasure, gave into wine, and had hundreds of wives, yet he still hated life.
He was climbing an endless staircase, he wanted to reach the sky, but the sky was to low when he arrived.
So He finally decided to stop climbing, and chose to fall on his knees.
That satisfied all his wants and needs.

The Night's Charms

I see the moon shining bright,
twinkling stars light up the sky,
on this pleasant summer night,
filled with passing firefly's.
I hear the crickets sing with glee,
the frogs join in the chorus too,
with mellifluent melody,
they raise their voices in dulcet tunes.
I feel a breeze encircle me,
with it's warm and welcome arms.
The whole earth seems to be at ease,
I love the night and all it's charms.

Thanksgiving

The harsh wind blows sorrows of this passing year,
yet my heart is filled with cheer.
Undaunted from the winds of yesterday,
my heart still finds a way,
to be wrapped in gratitude
toward the One who's unchanging.
My soul is clothed with thanksgiving.

Miami

In Miami we have beaches that shimmer like a jewel.
The sun beautifully shines,
and when it's reflection hits the waters
the beach brightens like gold in a mine.

Palm trees decorate our streets.
Flowers bloom throughout the year.
In winter, spring, summer and fall
we know that flowers will be here.

We have buildings that are new,
and we have buildings that are old.
Architecture that is simple,
and architecture that is bold.

We've got many fruits available,
some whose names you may not know.
The varieties vary
like the colors of a rainbow.

At the end of the day
Miami is a great place to live,
but I'm not sure you can take my word for it
because I can't be objective.

Canvas

My God is an artist, the whole earth is His Canvas.
The lilies are part of his painting;
So are the rivers, trees, and mountains.
His animals with every brushstroke are carefully designed.
The whole earth has been crafted by the most creative mind.
