I'D Give It All

I’d give it all in this moment,
For just one more chance,
To show you I love you,
To ask you to dance,

I stay up in the darkness,
Just thinking of you,
Of everything you mean to me,
Of the things I would do,

I know I won’t get one,
But I just can’t let go,
Because I know that I failed you,
I neglected your soul,

It feels so unfair,
That I see what I’ve done,
That I know how to be better,
But you’re fed up and done,

So I lay here and dream,
About me and about you,
About everything you mean to me,
About how I would love you,

Just know I’ve accepted,
The way that things are,
That my actions have caused this,
That I’ve left a big scar,

I would do anything,
To fix all the pain,
To trust you and love you,
To stop playing the game,

So when life gets hard,
And the times are tough,
Just remember that I’ve told you,
That you’re worthy—you’re enough,

My feelings still linger,
The desire is there,
And my heart still beats faster,
Just because you are there,

But I hope that you’re happy,
In all that you do,
Because I’m sending you love,
Hoping your dreams all come true.

Love's Embers

The embers still smolder,
Though the flame is long gone,
And we sit here processing,
How it all went so wrong,

The heat and the passion,
Burned hot and so bright,
You could see it for miles,
It would light up the night,

But then something happened,
It started to fade,
The air got colder,
A mistake had been made,

We missed all the signals,
We failed to react,
We couldn't rekindle it,
To clean up our act,

So now it's just embers,
Void of a flame,
As we sit here and wallow,
Shivering with shame.

Something Is Wrong

Something is wrong,
I can feel it in my bones,
I can hear it in the wind,
Something is different and I don't know why,

You don't look at me the same,
You don't talk to me the same,
You don't vibe with me the same,

Did I hurt you?
Did I do something wrong?
Have I just served my purpose?
Is the love really just gone?

It's hard to accept it,
It's hard to move on,
But I can just feel it,
Something is wrong.

War With You

Nothing seems right with you,
Nothing seems right without you,
You confound me,
I am lost in your innocence,
Broken by your silence,
Smothered by your presence,
Forever at war with who you are,
And with with who I want you to be.

Forever Longing

We're coming to the edge now,
The walls are caving in,
Things are getting darker,
I'm ready to give in,

My passion and my spirit,
In the end was not enough,
To keep from getting broken,
From taking it so rough,

I wish I would accept it,
I wish I could move on,
But I just can't help the feeling,
I did something wrong,

The light is almost gone now,
Where there was fire's now absent flame,
My heart forever longing,
My soul taking the blame.
