Memory

Leaves falling from trees,
Thoughts are always like these,
Taken by the wind.

I'm a Star

Once I was just pieces of dust,
Then I fell,
Gravity of my sadness changing me,
Tears fused me together,
And now I am who I am today,
A light to many worlds,
Once broken pieces,
But now a star.

Nature's Song

The wind blows through the trees,
The birds nest where no one sees,
The pale moon smiles on the earth,
The stars giving her a wide berth.

The fox pups snug in their nests,
Welcome the sweet land of rest,
The old wolf howls in grief,
The badger fights off the thief.

The sun wakens the colors of the sky,
The moon disappears without a sigh,
A thousand songs of nature ring,
For their creator Christ the King.

The Splash of my Brush

A splash of paint on canvas,
The blue and greens mixing with the purple,
The scene is unforgettable,
A scene from my heart poured out in the form of acrylics,
The reds scream with the yellows and pinks,
Screaming for what I have lost, for what I have gained,
Only I know this,
Because everyone else will walk by and see just a masterpiece,
But it's more, it's my heart.
A piece of me with every splash of my paintbrush,
A thousand words only my paint can illustrate.

Matthew 6:34

Mathew 6:34
It opened my locked doors,
My angry heart filled with worry,
Was gone by morn in a series of flurries,
My aching heart was put to rest,
That's why it's my fav and I consider it the best.
Do not worry about tomorrow,
I let go of all my sorrow,
For tomorrow will worry about its self,
And placed it on the shelf.
For God to keep,
So that I, his kingdom seek.

There's Something About Art

There's something about painting,
The way the paintbrush feels in your hand,
The strokes dark or faint,
The colors sing in their own band,
Creating something from your own life,
Encrypted code of all your strife.

There's something about singing,
Your voice high or low,
Your own song your voice is freeing,
Calming in the storm even when there is nowhere to go,
The melodies warm and soft,
Even when everything else is lost.

There's something about writing,
The words running from your fingers,
The stories uniting,
Tall tales and truth start to linger,
The storm brewing in your mind,
Each letter not wanting to be left behind.

I Wanna Go Home

I wanna go home,
Home where the streets are golden,
My chains are broken.

Words Are Caramels

Words are caramels,
Slowly melting in my mouth.
Music is lemonade,
Making me thirst for more.
Painting is an ice cream,
That never melts away.
Poetry is a soda
My heart sips all day.
Acting is cool water,
Always refreshing and beautiful.
