Kristen Granet Poem
Food for Thought...
You want puns?
How about on buns?
Written word fun
From the fruits of the Earth's sun
Thought about cruisin' on my bike to grab some grub, but it was two-tired.
Decided to ask the cow out to the Stampede, but he was grounded.
Caught some fish that was wailing from some a-salt and batterin'.
Went to the vineyard & stepped on a grape, but it was too winey.
The sunset blazed on as the lettuce showed tall in the field, a head above the rest.
Clouds settling in for the night realized there's no contest for a fowl-weathered friend that the ghost of the poultry-geist leaves behind, egg-credibly the best...
Boiled eggs are hard to beat.
And, hey... ya know? A girl's gotta eat!

Kristen Granet Poem
Waves and seas and blankets of sweat.
Tales of a tryst of two intertwined.
Awakened to a thrusting throb
betwixt clenched lips of legs.
Sleeping and waking. Woke and sleep-deprived.
Exhausted from this new connection,
But yearning for even more.
As we explore each other's bodies...
Day in, day out.
Once a Day.
Doctor away.
An apple for play.
Slay then lay.
Sunken in.
Comfort of sin.
Complete bliss.
A kiss.
A twist.
Again. And again.
In and out.
From behind and in front.
Side to side.
On the inside.
Straight on top.
Laying atop.
Holden in arms.
Legs wrapped around.
Beside, Abide, between thighs.
Hands on head.
Scratching. Massaging. Kneading to be needed.
Pulling in deeper. Building in intensity. Passion explodes.
Achieving climax together.
Exhausted from the evacuation of ejaculation.
Juices flowing. Fluid exchange.
Collapsing. Igniting slumbers and dreams divine...
Falling asleep on top of one another.
Breathing combines.
Two become one in spirit and flesh...
Boned in body and bonded with flowing blood.

Kristen Granet Poem
You came out swinging and talked a good game.
But you fizzled out and left me to hang.
All alone in this tango for two.
It was supposed to be me and you.
But you had your eyes set on some other prize.
While I was ready for you, you were stuck in the clouds.
Wishing on a star.
Swimming among the fish.
Hoping on a hope.
Hanging on...
a
kiss.

Enhance--
Ever-present
Foundation for support.
Never failing, always teaching!
Enrich.

Kristen Granet Poem
Tearing a page away from troubling times
A beautiful disaster no longer the captive
Emerging from the murky waters
Renewed and flourishing
As forest fires promote
new growth abounds
Arising anew with rekindled spirit
Sailing on an uncharted sea

Kristen Granet Poem
Dance begins: “Marry Me?”
Two bound eternally.
Intertwined in engorged throws.
Promises forged. Blood flows.
Familiar tune.
He cradles. She bows.
Resplendent vows: “I Do.”

Kristen Granet Poem
Giddy with excitement
of two souls' delightment.
One tiny taste of a moments bliss
found within one simple kiss.
Carrying on with wings of flight
Mouths open invoking wetness-- landslide.
Much euphoria & sweetness await.
How, on this day, did come such fate?
Once only an object of affection from afar
hast come making my heart sing & giggle & soar.
For from only mere seconds in continuum of time
bottling up these fleeting glances of ours-- yours & mine.
From moonglow
To sunglow.
Once skyglow
Igniting soulglow.
Now laughs my soul
in this everglow.

Kristen Granet Poem
H.astily I traipse “amidst these tombs,” “untainted eye…”
P.reparing the way for the “hidden world of yore.”
Luring lovers in, “lost Nevermore…”
“O’er the midnight moorlands crying,”
Verily to “wreck the solace of the poet’s mood!”
Even now, “drunk of the fog-foetid fountains.”
Cerebrally “reject[ing] the language of the glowing heart.”
Revered and “done are my trials,” “my heart is reposing.”
“All the years of fruitless quest” culminate in this...
For all the “prosy thoughts,” past “ghoul-guarded gateways of slumber,” a
“Tale confide[d]” in “the shade of Poe” and I will be forevermore alive.
Quotes from:
“Where Once Poe Walked”/ “Despair”/ “The Bride of the Sea”/ “Fact and Fancy”/ “Nemesis”

Kristen Granet Poem
Slow Burn
Who ARE you?
He approaches
the stage
auspiciously…
She gazes with awe.
Side-stepping
in time.
Flawless are
his moves.
Their eyes meet.
Time stands still--
Unbroken silence.
Earth snaps back in motion…
Her
eternal Slow Burn.

Kristen Granet Poem
You linger even after the ghost of you is gone…
I still wear you on my face,
Smell you in my hand,
Taste you on my lips,
Feel you in my hips.
In secret places of my mind
You are still running free.
The only place where truth can bind
To my soul and memory.
Synapses firing,
Shooting off from sensory,
As I recant the day.
Wiped clean from the rain.
A constant wash
Over the portrait once painted.
Like an Etch-A-Sketch
Of a most beautiful day created...
Then shaken from the timeline of me.
