Sounds of Sorrow

I lost you one day while I was looking out.
All I could see was the fog from my window.
Where could you have gone with no one to answer.
A question that I’m left with no matter what.

Sorrow floods through my blood.
What is left of who you were?
Gone in a certain of what could have been.
No control of what we should have been.

Awakened at night to a dark howl.
Never really knowing what I will find.
I’m standing in a dark forest looking up at the howl.
Like a cat in a tree there you were scared and alone.

A rush of pain shoots through me as I realize I’m standing alone.
Finding a path back to life without the person I loved most.
Crying tears of sorrow with a sound I will never no again.
Pain subsides but reality never will.
The sounds of sorrow will never go away.

Truth of Life

Life is what you make it
At least that’s what they all say
You take what you can get
And learn to roll with the punches
Is there anything else to learn about life
Many things you will see, just you wait

One thing you must know is how to wait
Even when you can’t find it
You will learn what makes a life
Always listen to what others say
And learn to take the punches
So, you can give what you get

Look around you and see it
What is they all say
Its what makes you happy to get
Fire back at the past with punches
And make you want a better life
So, you no longer must wait

I no longer want to wait
To find what they call it
The goal for everyone’s life
The thing that is a must they say
And we enter in with the punches
To show what we can all get

I see it
And all that they say
Is you can never believe what you get
When what you do is roll with the punches
In the look for the truth of life
But don’t look to hard or you will be left in wait

I will no longer wait
For what they say is it
I will go on with life
And only do what I say
On I go taking the punches
Never to settle for what I get

For this I say is the truth of life
What all people get when they say this is it
But don’t ever wait for the punches, just roll on

The Love of a Homeland

Looking out at the dark night sky
I see the stars as they travel by
The clouds floating in the dark sky
Give a person a reason to fly
What a beautiful sight to see the sun begin to rise

The colors of pink blue and orange
Shining in the once dark sky
What is the place I speak of
I call it home but most call it mountain country
The glow of the sun on the mountain side

Brings joy and love to life
Seeing through the eyes of a child
You can see the colors in a different light
What’s it like to live in the mountains
The mountain sky fills with clouds and the trees start to frown

But falling down from the sky is rain
And a rainbow shows in the mountain frame
A frame with so much to show
A frame with color and beauty that flow
What you ask is this song about

Its about my home
My country
My homeland
The place that I most love

The Truth and the Answer

You ask a question, a question that needs an answer.
What is a question without an answer?
The question no one knows the true answer to.
The answer that can’t be spoken out loud.

What is a question without an answer?
The answer that can’t be spoken out loud.
The reason it can’t be answered is that it isn’t a real question.
Its more of an answer in a question.

The reason it can’t be answered is that it isn’t a real question.
Its more of an answer in a question.
But what’s the way to ask a question that isn’t a question?
Answer it with what you feel is best.

But what’s the way to ask a question that isn’t a question?
The question no one knows the answer to.
Answer it with what you feel best.
You ask a question, a question that needs an answer.

: Dance Fam

We stand in a room filled with dance
What most people say can’t be a real sport
Like you can’t be a sport without a lance
Or a ball and a court

We work for hours on balance and turns
We stomp and chug for hours on end
Running to the lobby to see the ferns
I need more energy to lend

Who gets to decide what a real sport is
We work hard and practice for days
And all we get from you is fizz
But we still love to play

Away

Away they say let’s go away
To a place where happiness can be
Away to the place where they say
We can be more than just a flee

Away they say let us go away
So, we can be what makes us happy
Away to a place that won’t make us decay
And will make sure we never become flappy

Away we go to see the future
Away we go to make new lives
The only way to mature
Is to go away and learn to strive

Learning from the past is the best way
And that’s how you learn to go away

Weather Changes

Welcome to weather.
Leaves falling away from trees.
Wind blowing around.

Rain soaking the ground.
Coating the leaves all around.
Welcome clouds of grey.

Dancing in puddles.
Children playing all around.
Falling ice comes in.

Flying in the cold.
Ice and snow cover the ground.
Weather helps the Earth.

Awaken Darkness

I awake to the darkness flowing around me
All I can think is how can I flee
The shadows dancing on the wall
Watching to see if I will fall

Falling is not in the plan
But what can I do when I see the man
Its just a shadow on the wall
Growing the need I feel to call

The fear I feel grows and grows
Until all I feel is time that flows
Up it goes and the darkness is gone
The sun shining over the lawn

The will of the suns power
Pushing away the dark tower
Giving way to the joy
And making the fear your toy
