The Flower of Adversity

If you never try,
you will never know.
If there's no stuggle
there's no progress,
so how can you ever grow?
After the coldest winter
doesn't the flower bloom the most.
Each storm has its' reward,
yet not seen & doesn't show.
Stay firm & rooted,
& all shall come to pass.
Remain true to who you are
Flower of Adversity:
& just watch how long you last.

Without You There's No Me

Your essence was conceived
from my rib, a clavicle that
would entwine us forever.

As Adam to Eve, from the
beginning & to the ending of
our time.

You are the "W" to my world,
where your entity is my true
existence.

Like freash air to my nose
& my body to clothes,
you complete me.

You are the fruit to my tree,
without you it's so difficult
to breath.

So, please...empathize wiith me,
because Without you there's no me.

Greatness!

Only through adversity can GREATNESS be achieved.
"If there's no struggle, there's no progress",
this is what Frederick Douglass believed.

To tap into our inner stength & push forward even
when the odds are against you.
Being a winner, because failure is not a option:
so I'ma make it do what it do!

Make something outta nothing , that's going to
illuminate in my time & beyond me.
Ya'll cant see it now, but then to ya'll can't see
what I see.

My vision, my dreams. nor my aspiration.
My struggles within or my innated motivation.

To be a better person, with concepts of changing
the world.
A mirror of inspiration to these little beautiful
black boys & girls.

But, on a larger scale this GREATNESS is really not
about me.
Because I can't change, nor can I obtain anything unless
I first start with me...GREATNESS!

I...Gets...Money!

Society claims...that we are in a economic tsunami,
but I swear it's not affecting me.
I'm hungry...I metamorph into the money monster.
I gets money 24hrs & seven days a week.
Ppl be sleep, but I be up at the crack of dawn.
Visualizing this money...getting it...
engulfing it in my palms!
Having qualms about being broke & one of the misfortunate ones.
Cuz, a fool & his money will depart an that's a promise from the book of Psalms.
I have no pity for ppl, cuz your decisions today will be your out come tomorrow.
So, if you accumulating cash: stacking it...investing it wisely: you want have to beg & borrow!
But once again...I...Gets...Money!
See, you have to understand the negro psychosis which is similar to the cricket syndrome.
Claiming that he's balling, but in reality he's really crawling: self destruction on his own.
Sure he want the big house, all the money, & all the leeches!
But, don't nothing come to a sleeper, but a dream.
Ain't you tired of dreaming & wishing?
But once again...You...Gets...Nothing! It's part of my repertoire to be the cleanest individual in the crowd. Females going wild cuz they can smell the money scent from a mile.
The apotheosis of a winner is the true essence of a Black Man like me.
I can't be duplicated...dam shol not imitated, so please take heed... I...Gets...Money!...

Virtuous Woman

Your presence alone...undoubtedly magnifies this room.
An it's such a great honor to know you, & even more
be your son & friend.
You have complimented my life so much to were it's
unbelieveable, & to say at the least you inspire me
is a understatement.
Soft spoken, but with a heart of gold that illuminates
everything that you do.
You have influence so many lives to were it's a given
I want my daughters to be a perfect reflexion of you
& all that you stand for.
A ideal role model & yes you are my hero.
A kind hearted woman who would give her last.
The perfect wife, mother, & grandmother.
You have been a tremendous blessing, an therefore
you are truely blessed.
But, with no words known to the human race that
can truely describe you or your character, I pray that
my attempt will not be in vain, as I state with sincerity
& from my heart: You are a beautiful soul & a Virtuous Woman.
I love you mom.

Change...Is Good

Time brings along a change, & change brings along a time.
A Black Man ran for President, an he won.
This is an historical time.

One hundred & forthy four years have pass since our bondage & chains.
A brother with a swagger & eloquently spoken, embrace his name.

Barack Obama...Barack Obama, say it with confidence.
Barack Obama!...Barack Obama!, a name that can inspire our kids.

With an assurance: that through education with determination
anything & everything is possible.
Put their faith in God first an they can...accomplish...the illogical.

With the ability to dare to dream.
Forthy five years ago a Great Man had a theme.
An it begins with: "I have a dream."

With this said: change is good no matter the how.
My Black People I want ya'll to stand, cuz we have Change,
so please take a bow.
Change...is Good.

Sexual...Sensation

She told me that she had some good, but I didn't believe her though.
How she would make my toes curl & take every inch of me into her deep throat.
A sexual healing that would be a mystery to me.
An she wouldn't trip as I entered her tunnel of love & ran deep!
She professed to be a squirter & her wetness was unreal.
Few men had climbed her mountain, only to be captivated by her sexual skills!
A sexual demon that had been blessed with some A-1.
An all her victims had one thing in common: they were addicted & sprung!
Lol, surely she's a SEXUAL...SENSATION!

Midnight Beauty

Dark as Midnight,
but with a aura that radiates like sun.
100 watt smile, must have seen it from a mile,
& knew right then within my heart
she was the one!

Her essence had beautiful Black Queen
illuminating from its core.
I seen her once, maybe twice, & the third time..?
I was like a dope fiend, cuz I was fiending
for more!

Cuz, she was a beautiful black book!,
with gold trimmings that I yearn to read.
Wanted to know her story...every page & understand
this exquisite Black Queen.

Be engulfed by her beauty & words,
as we manifest to one another.
They say beauty is only skin deep,
but I swear she was like no other!

Never seen such beauty & perfection since
my existence on this earth.
Thought she was a rare Black Diamond...
& I was compel to know her worth!

Uncomprehendable, surely this creature had to
be a Angel!
But, her presence was mystic & she left
me with no angle.

On, how to reach her heart?, how to reach her mind?
Two elements from the same person entwined!
But, the truth of the mater is, she'll never be mines.

So from a distance, I look & yearn for the opportunity
to get to know this cutie.
& no, I didn't want her body...I just wanted to know this
Midnight Beauty!

I'M Just Me!

In life we all must go through something.
An what we endure determines who we are & will be.
I've made so many mistakes.
But, there are no mistakes if I learned & took heed.

Who am I? I've question this a million times!
Seeking the truth for my purpose...knowing I'm not worthless...like the sun I must shine!

Doubt can cause irrational & regrettable decisions.
Like driving in the rain & the dew can fog your vision.

Who am I?...Who am I?

I'm the individual that's going to make something out of nothing!
A individual that embraces challenge, while the others be running!

Who am I?...Who am I?

I'm a brother that understands: no don't mean no, it just mean not right now!
An in order to get the right thing, you have to do the right thing:
Because tomorrow starts now!

I love my people because in essence I love me!
An the 1st rule of loving me? Is loving those that look like me!

Full lips, a million shades, & coarse hair.
Black Kings & Queens: call us Africa because Kunta Kinte came from there!

Who am I?...Who am I?
I'm just me!

Bookie! (Bookie Is a Derogatory Word & Is Meant To Be Taken Offensive!)

Note: Any one can be a Bookie, regardless of age, sex, or race!

With no regards for my life, or anything else.
I'm usually doing something silly
to make me feel good about my self.
A negative person, with nothing good to say or do.
My calamity just doesn't affect me,
but the others I come in contact with too!
I love who I am & don't wanna do better.
I despise progress,
I'm the epitome of a true Nigga!
Yeah, I said Nigga, N.I.G.G.A.,
Never Interested in Getting Goals Accomplish,
is what my cousin use to say.
But forget him, i'ma sell me some dope
until I come up!
& after a decade in the game, I just blame my misfortune
on bad luck.
They say life doesn't owe you nothing,
but that law of logic doesn't apply to me.
I'm content with a fine freak, a thousand dollars,
& a dime sack of weed!
But, every year I be wondering why am I in jail?
Consciously realizing I created this tiresome & infinite
 hell!
Hell on earth, & it seems like a unreal Jason
nightmare.
& you can talk about me all you want,
cuz I really don't care!
Cuz, I feel life owe me something,
& I want mines plus with a extra cookie.
If you can't tell by this poem:
I'm just a stupid & pitiful nigga name Bookie!
