The Return

A charlatan returns despite his earlier defeat.
After two years gone, he claims he owns a seat
But there is no throne for the jester who bears
His recycled words without sparks or flares

A costume he wears, but many of us can see
he's a mean little boy who always turns beastly
He talks of being nicer, but his words aren’t divine
He's still a bully who flees. He doesn't have a spine

He called on one he wronged to ignite an old flame
But that man will not return, and he is to blame
Scripture from his mouth is spewed from a bad seed
His ego's hungry for attention. On innocence he'll feed

Nasty comments he'll make and then he will delete
He's no sugar daddy cuz nothing about him is sweet
He'll fool some, but not those who know the score
When he preaches from his pulpit, he's a total bore

He owes apologies to many who dealt with his spite
Poets, be forewarned that he is not a white knight
Sarcasm is his game, and that deserves no respect
Grow up, boy! You always alienate and disaffect

Disaffect = to cause hostility where there had been none

We All Belong

I was told that I should die, because of the color of my skin.
It didn’t matter what I thought or even what I believed in.
I just didn’t belong, there was no longer a place for me here.
I was told all whites must be killed and our end was drawing near.

I asked what I had done? Why did I deserve to die?
I was told it was from 400 years past and my life was just a lie.
I was responsible for slavery, all racism and his plight.
There was only one reason, it was just because I was white.

There is bigotry and hate in every single race.
I wish that I was wrong, but this is just simply not the case.
Our history is history, our past is gone and done.
We are all brothers and sisters and judged by only one.

I wish we all could love and know what comes in the end.
If there is hate in your heart, then you’re in trouble my friend.
I forgive all who hate me and may have done me wrong.
We are all God’s children and yes we all belong.

Abortion

How much more are we willing to lose?
Maybe it will just stop with the right to choose.

Have you thought of that child who got raped in the park?
Imagine her pain each night after dark.

Do you know a pregnant mother with young kids at home?
What if a complication suddenly left them alone?

How would they live and where would they go?
Before you pass judgement, there are facts you should know.

What if development does not go as planned?
Should both a mother and child die, because abortion is banned?

Do the wants of the many outweigh the needs of the few?
What if this was your mother or child, then what would you do?

I believe all life is precious, and every breath deserves a voice.
But God gave us free will, and with that comes choice.

Should the decisions of others be controlled by you or me?
Right or wrong is up to God, and always will be.

Why I Write

I write for just one reason
and it’s not for fortune or fame
I write to send a message
I write for God in Jesus’ name

I don’t seek approval
and I don’t seek any praise
I want to please only one
By the end of my days

I’ve been blocked and banned
I find the truth when I search
I’ve been teased and made fun of
I know my God without any church

I know that Jesus loves me
He has forgiveness in his heart
He is our savior and protector
and he’ll keep our world from falling apart.

The Jab

The Jab

I am somewhat disenchanted by what I’ve seen and read
Antivaxxers believe the lie that soon the vaccinated will be dead
That our leaders are out to get us, dictating what we need
and will decrease the population by deciding how we breed

I’ve heard more twisted theories in my time upon this rock
made so much worse with rumors on you tube and tic tok
I pray that common sense will soon take hold of every friend
Covid 19 is NOT just another virus. Don’t let it be your end

Remember mumps, measles, tetanus and whooping cough
They were cured by science, not a de wormer in a trough
Think of polio, rubella, diphtheria, hepatitis B and A
Thanks to vaccinations, these diseases were kept at bay

This world is full of deadly germs, we make perfect hosts
Please listen to the doctors instead of any ill-informed posts
Life is short, so show respect for the time you’ve got
Think of others, not just yourself. Now go and get your shot!

Racist Rant

Our POTD is now black versus white.
We are going to see a racist rant in plain sight.
It’s sad when a poet, uses their pen as a stick.
This POTD has no merit and honestly makes me sick.

Why would we showcase hate and give racism a stage?
All skinheads are animals and belong in a cage.
I’m very disappointed with what this site has allowed.
It’s simply a detonation with a mushroom cloud.

I guess evil is at work causing more divide.
Maybe his parents were the same and now gleaming with pride.
Whatever the case, it’s a very sad day.
This makes me sick to my stomach and it’ll stay that way.

Could this be a simple glitch that admin has missed?
If not, they are about to see many backsides that can surely be kissed.
Someone needs to be ashamed of themselves, for allowing this pungent hate.
What has poetry become, and what was it meant to create?

Roses Are Red Collab-26

These Limericks were written by many different PS poets who are all remaining anonymous. If you would like to add one of your own and remain anonymous send it to my soup mail. Enjoy!

Roses are red, but you broke the treaty
Changed your name, but your eyes are still beady
One, two buckle your shoe
Choo, choo, we know it’s you.
Stupid is as stupid does, Lil sweetie!

Roses are red: everyone knows that - DUH!
You're such a Grinch, Humbug and BAH!
There'll be no gifts for you
Past your house Santa flew
Deck your halls with a 'Fa La La La La

Roses are red and violets are blue
It's just garbage that all the trolls spew
Can't be classed as insane
Because they lack a brain
And you get more joy looking at poo.

Roses are red, and the troll is askew
Poets, don't allow him to bully you.
He carries a doll
Dressed up like Ru Paul
I think it's time to tame the shrew in you

Roses are red, you’re not made of glue
Thinking nothing will stick on to you
Dishing out bologna
You are quite a phony
Seems you have nothing better to do.

Roses are red, but not all violets are blue
Chicken Little is crying again, boo hoo hoo
You gotta stop the whine
America is fine
To your pessimistic thinking I say 'Pooh Pooh!'

Roses are red, just like the sore kangaroo
I stuck pins in his eyes, and other places, too
His self-loathing is blind
Here’s a spike I designed
Go jab yourself where the sun don’t shine, Cuckoo!

Roses are red, you're gonna need stitches
You're gonna strike out when I throw pitches
You are a child, indeed
Smoking voodoo weed
But you’re still my little sugar britches

Roses are red, put your nasty to bed
Try to say something important instead
Away with your bluster,
You sure have no luster
I think there's nothing inside of your head.

Roses are red, everyone knows you're just a thug
Mark's a mighty bulldog and you're a little pug
Go on, take your best shot
You can't hit diddly squat
He'll squash you like a bug. Chug a lug. Chug a lug

Roses are red, your slurs are fill of spite
You take ignorance to a brand new height
It's clear you have no sense
In fact, you are quite dense
"Ya can't fix stupid," a quote from Ron White

Violets are blue and roses are red
Trolls on soup are not right in the head
They play childish games
By changing their names
And maybe it's because they're brain dead

Roses are red, but it's the old lady who rants
Maybe her stinky bum was bitten by red ants
She likes to act so sweet
But can't take the heat
She's even snarkier when she craps in her pants

Your red roses died, your violets have too
Your breath smells like skunk, your words are doo-doo
Your poetry smells
Your ego just swells
Go lay by your dish, your time here is through

Roses are red, but get off the ballfield
I will not command my bulldog to yield
His chain has broken loose
Gonna cook your goose
Your real name in the soup has been revealed

Roses are red and violets are blue
Too many trolled by a dumb kangaroo
It is such a shame
He's got an assumed name
But sadly, that’s what crass trolls do

Roses are red, you called Mark Jabba the Hutt
But your mixed pedigree makes you a mutt
Better run away
Be warned if you stay
The bulldog will bite you on your big butt

Roses are red, but soon they will wither
When cursed by someone saying, 'come hither'
He can go fly a kite
Black magic just ain't right
Like a snake in the soup, he will slither

Roses are red to us, but not to the Aussie
Who thinks he's pugnacious by acting all bossy
But he's just a joke
A sorrowful bloke
Thinks he's a roo that can beat the PS Posse

You act like a tough guy, thinking you're slick
Like your pal, the one who was a bootlick
Your bruises will be blue
When we come after you
You returned as the same old dipstick

Roses are red in my lush garden bed
The sun shines on them and you're old bald head
Your insults don't hurt us
So why make such a fuss?
Is it possible to be nice instead?

Roses are red. Most trees are green.
Each gender can now be both king and queen.
Many things can confuse.
You can both win and lose.
And many obvious signs can't be seen!

Roses are red, the victim, when in truth,
You are dishing insult one-hundred proof
Lying about your identity,
Is a dishonest obscenity
And, besides, it is utterly uncouth!

When you act like victims it makes me laugh
In truth, you've committed a social gaffe
When in a game of chess
The real bigots confess
To being jerks, while taking a polygraph

It's a folly if you believe that we are mad
from the lies and insults of a dame and a cad
When you act like terrors
It's a Comedy of Errors
Such belligerence from you... it's terribly sad

You've slandered poets, and that's hypocritical
because we don't agree on views, political
But your ideas are wrong
America is strong
Leeches, your toxic fangs are parasitical

Bring Me Your Trolls

I will always fight,
on the right side of good.
Against those who bring hate,
like everyone should.

I welcome your trolls,
I will show them their place.
And if we should meet,
I'll present to their face.

Silence is golden,
no hate will be found.
But keep it up my arrogant little friend,
and I'll release the hounds.

If you are bothered by trolls,
just bring them to me.
We'll make light of their ways,
and let truth set them free.

The Poetry Genius

Our poetry genius has come back in view.
He is lost in the haze and still has no clue.
With one shot of bourbon and three fingers gin.
He is back on the blogs to give us his spin.

He comes out of the gate with thoughts of his own.
As he puts them in words his cover gets blown.
A shot of vermouth might help him stay true.
Only he sees his halo with its golden hue.

Now he insults, what he cannot comprehend.
Instead of giving support, he chooses to offend.
I see nothing wrong with speaking your mind.
Just be careful with those words that are easy to find.

Words are for all, so feel free to choose.
Write how you want, there is nothing to lose.
There will always be haters that lurk on this site.
They are jealous and petty, and here every night.

Ode To a Goldfish

Have you ever sat while deep in thought,
on a brand new toilet seat that you just bought?
Maybe you wondered and felt despair,
about that poor little goldfish you flushed down there.

Was he dead or just fast asleep?
Could he make the ocean in his final leap?
It’s truly a mystery we may never know.
Now I’m wondering how far one could go.

Maybe a GPS tracker tucked in with a twig.
Would he continue to grow, would he get really big?
I sit here and wonder with time to waste.
Is this poem a beauty, or simply bad taste.
