I Can'T Wait

I can’t wait…
To no longer have the desire to submerge myself into you
Into those full chocolate lips that once spoke sweet nothings into my ears.
I can’t wait...
Till I no longer wake mid-dream with tears running down my face
As if a race… a competition…
To out soak the pillow from the night before.
I can’t wait…
till I’m no longer forced to feel the empty space
On my bed, where I once rested my head
Listening to the very heartbeat that would soon break mine.
The day will come…
When I’m no longer losing me, waiting to be loved by you.
When calmness and tranquility will blanket the coldness, you left behind.
When the waves of emotions no loner push and pull me
Like sand in the tides.
For that day… I can’ t wait.

Naked

I yearn for a love so authentic
that I will be allowed to present myself in my most delicate, vulnerable, and purest form...
Naked!
Nude, beyond the flesh.
An emotional and spiritual bareness.
A space where I can embrace the best version of me.
So that I can openly and whole heartedly love the best, naked, version of you.

Truth

Kept emotions, those that linger far beyond there expiration date. Screaming to be released, yearning to touch the lips of freedom.. Can only be acquired by the acceptance of truth.... He was never meant for you.

Stuck

Stuck! Somewhere between wanting to kiss you
and wanting to pretend that I don’t
See you staring at me from across the gym.

Either way I’m stuck
where I don’t want to be...
Where I don’t want to feel…
Stuck with sleepless nights.

I must have texted you over a half a dozen times.
Each message filled with pleads,
Telling you how I’m the one, how I’d love you
Better than her… better than anyone else could ever.

As quickly as I write those words
I, with ease, delete them all.
As if what I feel or what I have to say
Would matter to you at all…

Effort

I don't want the effort to be mutual.
I want it to be a battle...
a war....
a pleasant torture of who can out love who.
