Gone Like a Whisper

Oh isn't it unfair?
That,
Right there
Gone like a whisper .
For something to be
To really be,
Specials only vanish

Please,
Let me grab it
Please,
Let me hold it
I'll be careful I promise

But an idea never tarnished,
Why so eager to rot?
Why these children
Without folly
Play with costume

Do you remember playing?
When we could do that
And that was just a thing
But time a constant
Never discriminates
And this child is growing up

Cupid sends him
His first letter
The return address was
The bad part of town
Why he does it I don't know
But every time
This boy falls in love
A lady of the night
Temptress No one knows
Her name always changing
But she always
Drinks something pink
On her luggage tag
It just says, "disguise"

The fragile said something
Quietly from the corner
Ever so slightly
But now,
Louder
Louder
And Louder!
She is staring to scream.
Her breath wreaks
Stale and rotten smoke.
The room its self grasped
Is cold fills the void
It is instant
An idea has cracked

Oh but isn't this fun?
And it's making me feel good
That can't be bad,
Right?

But the walls are yellowing
And the wallpaper is sticky with tar
The only thing
keeping that ugly pattern still up there

And now it's gone
That
Just there.

I dont want to leave yet

Lonely Is the Mirror

Damn you Narcissus,
You've locked her in this cage
A cage so empty from blindness
She sees what I deny

Cause lonely is the mirror
She sees your soul
Your loves your fears
And your mind as glycerol

My blindness is creeping behind
My blindness is growing inside
I'm blind to my disguise
But she is not
She is not

For lonely is the mirror
She sees you soul
Your loves your fears
And your mind as glycerol

If a mirror could speak
What might they say?
A mirror might cry
But I wish it would sing
It would sound like all the people
Without their cares of the listening

But lonely is the mirror
She sees your soul
Your loves your fears
And your mind as glycerol

A reflection so wise
But its lost on far away eyes
She weeps with rust
And in her tears are lost answers
Answers for fear
For lust for love
And disguise
And the truths to all of your lies!

Lady Masquerade

One beautiful girl, one thousand faces
Anthrax of the tongue your deadly poison
A wake o'broken hearts, o'broken glass I run
Because I have seen her empty spaces.

That beautiful girl, time turning faceless
And tracks soon begun to sit and stay unsung
Awake from slumber and my dreams undone.
Tears mackle disguise, while grey eyes confess.

What identity lingering cry implies?
Just a few glimpses I've been blessed to see,
Her Ruby white pale no make-up from lies.
All varnished in tears yet somehow you're free.
Love, don't take this wrong just take it from me
Be yours, my dear, shed fully your disguise.

I'M Out of Cigarettes

Feels like the pavement runs out
And the bottles always empty
And sometimes I can feel
I don't really like it here
But the taste is familiar.
There are a few fond moments here
But memories are always
second best
And all of these pictures are geting blurry
They got wet in the flood last spring
And probably
The poppers last Wednesday
And now that I think about it
I'm not sure
If I dreamt them up later

It's nice that we are older
cause most of us don't remember
most nights now.
The dreams can be better stories.

The Beast of Selfishisness

If there could be but only one thing
I may critique, my dear Lord,
Oh why a ruby's precious
Only as its fragile
Only because,
Oh how a word
So desperate to be heard
Why dear god,
For plenty lose merit?

Because,
From behind,
My left,
A whisper for my ear
Because,

Because,
The swine are being stoked
Sharp white iron
The air is breathing heavy
Hot ribbons flying off
My vision is getting blurry
As the wrought passes closes
I pray it is not for me
