Keosha Haskins Poem
I do not recall when this relationship began,
But it seems as if you noticed me before I noticed you.
Every season you were changing just as I,
It was almost intimidating how I was always in your presence.
You were present through my pain, and tears,
My happiness and achievements.
I feel more spiritually connected with you than any human being.
As I look up into the sky I feel greeted with grace by an eternal sunshine,
Wrapped gently by the passing wind.
Your beauty allows me to appreciate my life at its worst,
And when there is no one to talk to I confide in you.
Because of you I seek freedom.
Because of you I know that serenity is possible in this world full of sadness.
I know that you would never choose to harm me intentionally,
Instead I choose to harm you.
We choose to stay ignorant when it comes to your health, knowing you need our support.
We cannot live without each other.
I need you…
You need me…
I wish more people saw you the way I do.
Oh the conversations we have,
Me sitting on rocks watching the water flow,
Birds flying high as the wind sings,
Your essence always lifts my spirits and reminds me that it could always be worst.
We never talk with words.
Instead we exchange frequencies and energy.
Often I come to you when I need a break from it all.
I look beyond your clouds for answers and often find them,
If not an answer I am sure to be left with comfort,
A bit of peace in the madness of my mind.
I am Alice in your wonderland.
