A Subconscious Meeting

I was walking a lonely road ,
my shadow as my only companion .
Suddenly , I heard a crack quite brute
the sound of probably a rusty boot .

I paused right at my track
and looked from where came the crack
and as I turned and watched my back ,
I saw a figure , all in black .

As I asked ,”Who are you ?”
found out the dream was too good to be true .
So as I hesitated and looked behind ,
I received my answer ,”I am you .”

“I am you , but rather your past .”
I decided to play along ,”How do you do ?”
“Not too good , to be so true .”
“I know , I know , I’ve been through my past .”

“Life just goes on way too fast
and my world is full of lies and lust .”
“I am really sorry for being so miserable .”
“It’s okay , it’s okay , little selfishness is desirable.”

Tears rolled down either of my cheek .
“Are you in pain?” , asked my other self .
“Yes...I repent for what I did .”
“I see . You have passed my trial . You shall be helped.”

He took a dagger out from his coat .
“Take this dagger....and cut my throat .
No hesitation . Sever your thread to your past
and you shall be free until you last .”

As I stood between my past and future ,
I wondered which one was better for me .
But just like every other choice , this too was a wager .
“Thank you....” cried I , and swung the metallic dagger.

“You are now free .” he smiled and said ,
and thus he dissipated into the thin air .
I wondered if what I did was truly for the better
but realized , every two choices are really just as fair .

The Kingdom of Breakdown

As they cry in the moonlight evening
heart and soul becomes ailing ,
wailing , it does , as it rains red ,
in bed they lie . For a treacherous head
is all they had in the stormy wind
and I was but a precious vermint .
And the heart was but a windy storm ;
breaking , thousand pieces they form .

The flames of wrath
The eyes of despair
The power of destruction
hidden just as fair .
The valley of death
all into flame .
No place to hide ,
the end of the reign .

The crimson red garden
The azure lakes of hell
The land of the holy ,
shredded by the gale .
The cracks in the heaven ,
the heaven of the land .
Away they march ,
the demonic horde .

And all that awaits
My lonely kingdom
The castle of breakdown
Pendragon

The World Is Not Lost

The faces full of dark ,
like the eyes of a prisoned lark .

Not a drop of tear to be found
in the cold-blooded eyes , frozen though round .
Freedom is not free , it has a cost .

So look around you ,
and feel the lifeless crew .
The world as it is , is completely lost .

The sun never shines ,
doesn't free the world from vines ,
all cold and frost .

Corruption is an epidemic ; it destroys the world .
But the silver-lining will shine , everything will take a fold .
For the Saviour will come ; the world is still not lost .

The Lost Traveller

Out in the woods ,
a traveller there stood ,
so alone and thirsty
with not a bit of food .

I took my hands out
perhaps so I could reach him .
And with almost no doubt
of what could probably patch him .

So I took out a loaf of bread
perhaps so I could give it to him .
His face was so dark and ominous
and his eyes were so dim .

“ Who are you ?” , I reached out first .
With a face so stout and thin ,
“ I am just a nobody” said he with thirst ,
“I had to submit to the might of this green .”

I asked , perhaps reading his life ,
“ Were you a victim of the world’s fishing ?”
“I was not .” said he with a drive ,
“ But was of the system’s bewitching .

I was a part of this world’s puppet rulers ;
none with a word to say against me ,
I was drowned in power and greed ,
crushing them all , all like weeds .

Suddenly I had a change in heart ,
perhaps with a sense of my sins ,
I tried to clean all the dirt ,
even by opposing one of my kin .

Perhaps this weight was too big for me
and thus I couldn’t set them free
from this cycle of evil and greed .
Thus I had to hide away and flee .”

There was a pause in the traveller’s voice ,
which took a while for me to see .
It was his eyes raining blood
and his heart was too weak to be .

I tried prying deeper , knowing it was wrong .
“ And what happened next ?” I asked after long .
“What else...” smiling , he said ,
“The end of the beginning and the beginning of the end .”

Kaleidoscope

The world is not a mirror , it's a kaleidoscope .
Full of broken , shattered pieces , without any hope .
You can't dodge the pieces , you have to fight ;
there's no way out , the pressure is really tight .

But don't lose hope ;
there's always a way around ,
to end life's misery ,
so stay cool and don't frown .

All you see is illusion all around ,
you have to fight , you are really bound .
You may feel cold , full of frustation ,
but you must fight until death replaces exhaustion .

But don't lose hope ;
there's always a way around ,
to end all this melancholy ,
so stay cool and don't frown .

Opportunity comes once in a lifetime ;
one kills another , it is their favourite passtime .
And if there is any thorn or prick ,
they root it out just fine .

But don't lose hope ;
there's always a way around
to sabotage these meaningless fights ,
you must stay cool and not frown .
