A Wish

A wish....
A wish to walk free
Free of the stigma bestowed upon me....
Free of the clutches holding me tight.....
Free of the epitome of a dirt too slight...

A wish....
A wish to unfurl the wings....
The wings of beauty
The wings of freedom
And up above to the manifesto of stardom!!

But alas! it's a trait
Too harsh!!
A poison lost amidst my blood....
A poison existing in the hearts of many.....
Many a girl like me....

And alas! The wish remains a wish
The wish to roam around free...
The wish to unfurl our wings....
For many a girl like me!!

Our Bountiful God

Our God is bountiful because
He is the epitome of pious,
the paragon of virtue
and the abridgment of righteousness.

Rising from amidst the flame
of hope and unprecedented 'happiness'
a soul all too great
for we are his creatures
And he- our creation!

The 'unwavering' presence of Him
with his abode in our souls
his flattering and 'astounding' presence felt in every step
for we are his creatures
And he- our creation!

A guiding light...
The unflattering glimmer of hope
A life all along presiding under us...
beneath us....AMONG US!!!
for we are his creatures
And he- our creation!

Yes! He exists...not as one...
But as many...
Not Inside one!!
But inside millions!!
for we are his creatures
And he- our creation!

But yes he is the one...
The one and the only one!
Believe me....He is 'irreplaceable'
He is 'inevitable'!
But sure yes, we are his creatures
And he- our creation !

Well,
Our God is bountiful because
He is the One.
He is unparalleled!

You Too Kiss Me, My Black Beauty

The sapphire iris blinks
the long blonde lashes meet
against the milky white skin
the hair made up into blonde curls
her frock with frills
clearly marking the standards
Her bottom against the cold, hard floor of the
little plastic box
Her lips pink and her rosy cheeks
with the proud smile stamped against.

"I pick her!"

Those words accustomed to her ears
come as no surprise
and she looks beyond and below
over the separating line
and give yet another smirk to the trivial
yet again, the proud one!

The chocolate brown iris blinks
the long black lashes meet
against the dim light fall
the hair down into beautiful curls
her head carrying an invisible crown
Her bottom against the cold hard table
lined with dust after so many weeks, maybe years
her hands sore and numb, confined within
her eyes glazy as she looks through
the tears, through the box.

In came the humble being
with a playful smile on her face
with the white little paper wings
and the gait of a future queen.
"I pick her!"
Her finger towards the dim light fall
the beauty picked up from the line of dust
The young soul kisses
"Oh, you to kiss me,
my black beauty!"

The Girl With the Paper Wings

The road lies ahead,
Clean, spotless- a smooth path.
The Sun shines from above,
penetrating her glasses,
and into her eyes.
The yellow daffodils spreads around,
like a carpet- undisturbed....
And She? She glides through!

The wind roars in her ears,
Her hair, flying wildly behind.
Blonde, with black streaks,
It reaches midway through and stops,
to show her body too lanky.

Her speed increases second by second,
minute by minute.
A scream leaves her mouth....
and erupts into giggles,
a strange voice- indeed!

She feels her hand gliding behind,
ruffling the soft feathers,
feeling the all-new wings,
As white as milk....

She glides ahead,
Gracefully,
Effortlessly,
Elegantly,
and into the glistening Sun.
And so she finds the courage,
to react....to live!
She tastes the air.
Its unusually sweet...
The pristine taste of freedom!

Gasp!

A dark room,
confined within the four walls.
The dirty dishes lie aside,
to be forgotten....
For now, she is ready,
and so is the cage....
The 'Cage of Confinement'

She removes her white paper wings- (her only hope)
To be locked forever inside
accompanied by the sweet bubbles
of childhood....

She walks ahead,
Leaving everything behind
Save for the sweet taste of
'Freedom'
Now slowly wearing away.
And with her, the courage
slowly gnawing away!

Helen Keller- She Has Done It, So Can We

She speaks our loud and clear,
She can be personified as the one with no fear
She is deaf to all the grudge,
But she is blind to all the world!

Not knowing where to go,
But people do have to bow,
She is the light to the darkness,
And joy to the sadness

God has given her all,
except for one might,
She did not stumble and fall,
Though she did not have sight!

If she has achieved the impossible,
Then why cant we?
She has made it possible,
with ease and with glee.

Yes! She is the one,
Who has won a tough run,
She is Helen Keller
Try hard and you can be like her !

Nature

The luscious green space ahead,
A tree with leaves a-shed,
The leaves rustle all green,
Amidst a world unseen.

Unsearched ,Unscathed
A world to be in awe
With it in green bathed
It is a world to vow

Let the space live on!
And not to be shown
To people who are selfish,
Who cut them for their relish.

Let the world so pretty,
Not go all rusty
The life's lifeline
The earth pleads- "It's all mine!"

Strength In Unity

A string of pearls laden,
Stays bonded...
They are united,
Until broken...

The string be thy peace
And not a crease,
Be there as it might
Lead to a fight...

A deadly feud,
Many are sued,
Lives are gone...
Why now mourn ??

Do not let a scissor
Cut the string of peace
Do not let a trigger
Bring a crease....

Thy be the pearl....
Peace the string,
And the necklace laid out,
On the earth all green.

I Don'T Want To Be Entitled

I don't want to be entitled.
I don't want to be called
the epitome of ethical,
the paragon of virtue
and the abridgment of righteousness.

I don't want to be the
lone specimen of the brightest future.
I don't want to be elected as
'The Future President'
I don't want to be an idol.

For if and when I fail,
My mind- that heard these words,
My mind-that expects itself to succeed
fails.
The burden of failure weighs me down.
The failure to succeed
showers down on me
I fail!

"Life has many ups and downs!"
They say.
Then why would mine be all up?
Why would mine be flawless?

I don't want to be entitled
'The topper'
For when I come second,
I crumble beneath the
hallucinations of disappointment.

I don't want to be entitled
'The Nerd'
for that personality that needs credit
is concealed beneath.

I don't want to be entitled
for it took me years to realize
that those titles were just
expectations- of strangers, not mine
Dreams- not for them, but for me.
Legacies grafted that need not be true.
It took me years to realize that
'I don't care to be entitled!'

Telling Fairytales of She Who Wails

And so here I am....
I hope to touch your hearts it does'nt fail
and so here I am
Telling fairytales of she who wails

Those never-ending cries of pain
have gone now!
Those scars you drew through my heart
have faded now!

I am no different than you all
Just a little meeker well you can say
No more can I keep my
anguished screams at bay!

I have been succumbed
to mustering silence
I have been considered
less of a human

THEME- Telling fairytales of she who wails

No leech could suck out this poison
No god can purify the soul corrupted by birth status!
Isn't what you taught your children
that I am an untouchable?

Jarring breath notes punctuated my words
But not anymore!
For i am strong!
Stronger than anyone could ever be!
I am 'Untouchable'!

Usa, It Is Time To Change

"She might be the first to do it, but she sure is not the last!"
The young girls, inspire, aspire
to break the cage, the confinement
to break the cuffs of stigma and rise above.
The black kids who have memorized the path to their daddy's grave
the black kids who tire themselves from rallies for nothing
kissing 'them' goodnight and whispering to the sky "I love you!"
A change for the dim light fall
from the words still choked beneath "I can't breath!"

It is time to change the idle minds
to be the epitome of equality to the people of the world
to be the dream for the blacks, to let the suppressed fantasize
amidst the world of reality!
So USA! It is time to Change!
