The Moon and I

The Moon and I

She danced on my pillow
and whispered
come follow
I’ve something to show you
and so I drifted
on moonshine rays
over hill and dale
She lit the way
to the rippling shore
and then I saw
although half awake
the wondrous beauty
of many moons more
sparkling shimmering
across the lake..
