The Moon and I

The Moon and I 

She danced on my pillow
and whispered 
come follow
I’ve something to show you 
and so I drifted
on moonshine rays
over hill and dale
She lit the way
to the rippling shore
and then I saw
although half awake
the wondrous beauty 
of many moons more
sparkling  shimmering 
across the lake..
