Richard Djj Bowdery Poem
I Have No Words
By Richard DJJ Bowdery
I have no words to dry your tears,
Nor words of balm to soothe your pain,
I have no words to lie this truth,
To claim I have I cannot feign.
Yes my silence may confuse,
Be not what you want to hear,
But empty words will parch your soul,
And sound so hollow in your ear.
No comfort dwells in well-worn cliches,
Which hang around like startled birds,
They can’t compare to love in action,
Such precious deeds decry cheap words.

Richard Djj Bowdery Poem
She was never a sweet girl,
Sweet girl, sweet girl,
She was never a sweet girl
Until that first sweet.
She was sometimes a sweet girl,
Sweet girl, sweet girl,
She was sometimes a sweet girl
Once or twice a week.
She was often a sweet girl,
Sweet girl, sweet girl,
She was often a sweet girl
With her frequent treat.
She was always a sweet girl,
Sweet girl, sweet girl,
She was always a sweet girl
Before that last sweet.
She’s no longer a sweet girl
Sweet girl, sweet girl,
She’s no longer a sweet girl
That last sweet turned her sour.
