Thoughts of the Day

We have a laugh, and drink a beer,
Play some golf, and hunt for deer.

Your patience and wisdom, is without test,
Your confidence and clarity, is at its best.

Mentor and Dad, is what you are,
Saved and glad, your faith will go far.

I’m thankful and blessed, with a father like you,
Proud at its best, for the little things that you do.

Love and care, are words that I say,
Friendship to share, on Happy Father’s Day!

To: “Pop”
Love,

Nifty Fifty

Days will come and days will go,
Some are fast and some are slow.

But a Birthday in November,
Is something to remember?

Why? Your honest expression has touched so many faces,
With all your travels in various places.

I know you’re fond of Lucille Ball,
Hopefully it hangs somewhere on your wall.

Rumor has it your turning near fifty,
I find this special and somewhat nifty.

Without any more of thoughts and words to say,
I just want to wish you a Happy Birthday!

Happy Father's Day

You’re my Dad that proudly introduced me to the race cars and sports, from spark plugs & curve balls to the other manly cool sorts!

You’re my Father that explored with me the adventures of hunting and fishing, from staring down the gun barrel and watching the line & wishing!

You’re my Mentor that taught me the hard work of laying the ceramic tile, along with constructive criticism and sometimes keeping your smile!

You’re my Friend that always delivers compassion and sincere love, and you understand what it means from our “God” up from above!

You are a Christian that knows the true meaning from wrong versus right, because I have witnessed you kneel down and silently pray in clear sight!

You are a Man with honesty and of integrity at its very best, knowing you don’t have to prove a single thing for anyone or all the rest!

You always Gave me purpose with knowing the right direction, and yes it came with my hard earned mistakes and sometimes with your correction!

You always Gave me unconditional love and many well deserved lessons, along with a new left-handed baseball glove and all of your blessings!

You always Gave me lots of joys and my two wonderful sisters, along with lots of toys and the meaning of hard work that came with some blisters!

You May Be Known as Father or Dad and maybe even sometimes as Pop, but always remember, my devotion and love for you will never ever stop!

Happy Father’s Day

Happy Valentine's Day

As time passes on, I reminiscence of our past,
Words from a song, my feelings will last.

The twinkle from your eyes, I’m caught by surprise.
Hugs and good-byes, begins a new sunrise.

Actions and smiles, can mean very much,
Traveling for miles, I dream of your touch.

Your sexy and hot, with all the above,
With all I got, I give you my love.

A taste of your kiss, offer much bliss,
Sleeping alone, it’s you what I miss!

Just a few words, I wanted to say
Don’t let this poem, scare you away,
Enjoy this time, on Valentine’s Day!

		                          		  Happy Valentine’s Day!

Happy Birthday Bailey

My eyes are filled up, with tears of joy, just watching you play, with your shiny new toys…

The time with you, is filled with bliss, you bring me to my knees, with only a kiss…

Being a Great Uncle, is such a great honor, with your cute smile, I become even fonder…

Mickey & Mason are friends at your side, but family & relatives, take you with pride…

Expressing my thoughts, with words to say, now go get some cake, and start to play…

Happy 2nd Birthday, Ms. Bailey Rae!!!
Love you lots,

Typical Day

Your eyes are sharp, and your smile is straight,
No doubt of this, in the game of poker!

Your friends will talk, and say you are great,
But deep down inside, you’re still a joker!

You have your coffee, and you take your pills,
Cruising in the “A” would be more of a thrill.

Buddies Hobo & Wylie, will lie in your lap,
Now that we know, you are a loving sap.

Your eyes are blue, and your hair is gray,
As strong as glue, we know you will pray.

I’m glad you’re my Dad, for which I look up to,
Over time and age, I hope to be just like you.

Apples & oranges, not your garden of choice,
But tomatoes & peppers are tasty & moist.

With memories of thought, and words to say,
Of thinking of ought, and not the word hey.

So with hugs of laughter and hope to say,
Wishing you my love on this Happy Father’s Day

From your Son,

Yuletide Thoughts

Christ our Savior is of God, great & giving,
Christmas is the time for love, laughter & living.

Children bring smiles and the joy of love,
Three wise men were guided, from the bright star above.

Santa and the reindeers flow through the night,
Cookies and milk will flicker in the candle light.

Birth of Christ is the true sign of joy,
Lying in the manger we now know he is a boy.

Snowmen will glow; while Rudolf hears the word go,
Miracles will happen just as the cold from the snow.

Silver sleigh bells will ring,
Just as the carolers will sing.

Tinsel and Angels will decorate the tree,
Thankful and blessed are the words that I see.

Time with family is the only place I want to be.

                                                                 Merry Christmas

To My Valentine

These roses are red and the vase is blue.
Your beautiful smile makes me want to know you.

I hope it doesn't hurt
That I may try to flirt.

By the gentle whisper in your voice,
That's how I know I made the right choice.

For you on this special holiday,
Don't let the flowers scare you away.

All I really wanted to say
Is, "Happy Valentine's Day."

Prince From Camelot Meets Princess From Nottingham

As the Knight is in the castle; with his armor of shield,
Lady Bethevere strolls through the flowers; placed in the field…

Their hearts brought together; from the power of Heaven,
Strange as it may be; with the number of eleven…

With many things in common; and their quest for love,
Cupid surely played a part; from the clouds above…

Travel time & highways; bring them as one,
Cafes’ & picnics; and the warmth of the sun…

Wine and chocolate; with the laughter of fun,
The adventures of the couple; has yet to begun…

She greets him with a smile; as he comes in from the rain,
She brings the Knight to laughter; just with a coffee stain…

July and September; will be months they remember,
Tensile, snow and glitter; they both will share in December…

                                                              Love,
                                                              Sir Shawncelot

Waves of You

Wind flows through my hair, I chart the known direction.
With many words to share, guided by the Perception.

Thinking of you, so much to gain, no answer for the reason.
For shades of blue, of wind and rain, typical for the season.

The air is brisk, her sky is gray, November thru December.
Your worth the risk, no words to say, mine only to remember.

Unlock the door, to see of store ,emotions I can't hide.
2004 has so much more, I take the day in stride.

Thoughts of grace, your words I embrace, now you have my heart.
