Typical Day

Your eyes are sharp, and your smile is straight,
No doubt of this, in the game of poker!

Your friends will talk, and say you are great,
But deep down inside, you’re still a joker!

You have your coffee, and you take your pills,
Cruising in the “A” would be more of a thrill.

Buddies Hobo & Wylie, will lie in your lap,
Now that we know, you are a loving sap.

Your eyes are blue, and your hair is gray,
As strong as glue, we know you will pray.

I’m glad you’re my Dad, for which I look up to,
Over time and age, I hope to be just like you.

Apples & oranges, not your garden of choice,
But tomatoes & peppers are tasty & moist.

With memories of thought, and words to say,
Of thinking of ought, and not the word hey.

So with hugs of laughter and hope to say,
Wishing you my love on this Happy Father’s Day

From your Son,
