Nature's Thirst

It drizzles as the dark clouds pass,
Trees feeding with thirst as it quenches the fruits,
Fruits meant for the colorful birds,
Birds that sing the morning songs,
Songs that wake me up to face the world,
The world that needs trees to get water.

Water however is getting scarce,
Scarce because of the nature destroying man,
Man that now lacks fruits as the birds disappear,
Disappearing because of thirst of the trees,
Trees destroyed by man as no dark clouds pass,
Now the morning is dull because of nature's thirst.

Sorrow Hidden In Wealth

What is wealth without happiness?
Mansions that allow them to sleep in different rooms,
Expensive cars that allow them not to travel together,
Chef meals that allow them not to cook for each other,
For it's very much possible for wealth to hide deep sorrows,
As naked happiness lies in the poor!

I Write

I feel, I write,

I need my light,

Now I see so bright,

I dim my light,

Now I feel, Now I write.

Walking With My Wings

I have wings but cannot fly,
I feel them clinging strongly on to me,
I sense their flying potential,
But still I seem not to fly.

I'm a mature caterpillar stuck in my casing,
Needing a stimulus to spread out my wings,
Striving to have the most beautiful wings,
Not knowing I just need to make my first flight.

Are my wings a heavy burden?
Do I deserve these wings?
Is it too much responsibility?
Is my fate to just walk?

I fear I may age my wings out,
Without even testing its capabilities,
Locked within the comforts and simplicity of walking,
But I will fly, I must fly and I know I'll fly high.

To Be Or Not To Be

To be or not to be,
Is it enough for me to be me?
What does society want me to be?

No! They say, that's not the way to be,
Be normal for it is the best way to be,
Accept the social norms for it should shape me,

This however does not make me feel free,
Free from what they think i ought to be,
Hence I choose freedom, i choose to be me.

Alone

Alone in my room,
Silence screaming at all ends,
I wish for companionship to mend,
But the mirror is my only friend.

Alone in my room,
Masking my loneliness with a smile at noon,
Hopelessly hoping affection may come soon,
But the moon is my only friend.

Alone in my room,
Feeling unwanted in the society hall,
Someone Please! Come break these walls,
But my room is my only friend.

What Is Love

I love you! so they say,
It makes me wonder, what is love?
What breathes in love and what kills it?
Does love come from inside or outside?
Is there true love and if so what makes it false?
Is it rare or is love in abundance?

Contemplate upon this with deep thought,
Before saying I love you too!

My Demise

I shall go through it alone,
As I came to this world.
If it decides to take time,
I shall go through it with family.

It should be fast and painless,
It shoud feel fulfilling.
If pain need be,
It should feel cathartic

Honestly, Am not afraid of When
Am afraid of How but whenever or however,
At my last breath and heartbeat I shall courageously smile
As I reflect on those I impacted positively.

Pandemic

Its a pandemic
Spreads quick
Looks like it may stick

Its horrific
Many are sick
Our elders are weak

Its hectic
Makes our doctors freak
Seems to be bleak

Its drastic
Causes panic
Things are getting dramatic

Its frantic
So please stay hygienic
If anything visit the clinic.

My First Job

I kinda like my first job,
I teach and learn,
I'm seen am heard,
I'm serious am fun,
I really like my first job.

However, its temporary,
An year full of memories,
Living in a foreign territory,
With rivers, Hills and Valleys,
Ooh! I can't forget the monkeys,

What if i don't get the job,
I worry because i need to develop,
My career is on a tight rope,
But i'll cope, nope, infact i'll get the job,
Its my prayer that is filled with hope,
Coz actually, I really like my first job.
