Eternal Love

God loves us without end;
His grace continues forever.
Eternally He will be our friend.

Not only to befriend,
To protect us is His endeavor.
God loves us without end.

No matter where me He sends,
My attachment to Him will not sever.
Eternally He will be our friend.

Our greatest evils off he will fend.
Whether we are foolish or clever,
God loves us without end.

Our life is his to lend,
His way offers life without end.
Eternally He will be our friend.

All of us he will mend.
We will be His forever.
God loves us without end.
Eternally He will be our friend.

Life, Love: Paradoxically

laughing i can barely see through my tears
laughing i can barely see how i've been torn

joyously enjoying life i never want to leave here
joyously enjoying life not longer torment do i have to hear

with this hand in mine i can finally tie the knot
with this hand in mine i feel no longer like naught

wanting to gain her affection i offer her this rose
wanting to gain her affection from my seat i rose

As I Sit Here and Wait

As I sit here and wait
My mind slowly does churn
Memories of you around and around

The sound of your soothing voice
The smell of your infatuating scent
The touch of your smooth skin
The sight of your unmatched beauty

Time turns to stone
As I wait alone
Unrighteous anger makes me its home

The sound of him making you laugh
The touch of his hand in yours
The sound of his endearments to you
The touch of his lips to yours

My fists are clenched
Sweat crosses my brow
I fight the anger away

It makes me sunken and hollow
It tells me I will never have a chance with you
It creates my depression
It foretells my unhappiness

But I fight my anger away

The anger banished
I sit and wait
Now only a test of my patience remains

As I sit here and wait
Our lives go on
I await the time when they'll combine

Nobody Could Take Your Place

Nobody could take your place.
You have become intricately a part of me.
The thought of losing you brings me to tears.

You laugh, your smile, your love.
Those gifts you gave to me.
I am owed to you.

The Gift of Love

My life, it is too short.
Not enough of my time can be spent here,
But I'll try my hardest
To complete my task.

Ignore the want and need,
Nothing should be sought after
Except for love.
Love is my task.

Keep away from war and harm.
To hurt is to be quite against my task.
Peace is important,
And reprieve is possible.

I can make reprieve.
It is my job to offer myself to others:
Whether to take jobs,
Or listen with love.

Whatever my task,
I will try to do it without question.
Everyone needs love,
And I want to give it.

Response To a Fool's Love

How is it Lord that I should be faced with this?
Isn't the hard part supposed to be Your job?
All I had to do was believe, didn't I?

Yet You still rely on me for these choices.
Is that not stupidity? Is that not dangerous?

My life would kill me or leave me for dead.
You showed me the Way to a better place,
But I think You should be carrying me there.
Don't make this so hard on me, God.

You should be here for me.
I will try it without you,
But I doubt it will work.

My Future

What an enigma
Unknown, hidden thing,
My future

Although to
Find my future, I must
Find myself

Who am I?
And why don't I know?
Leave, society

I can't be alone
But that is all I feel
I have freedom, but am not free

Nothing works
I go around in circles.
Many thorns

Wanting dearth
But I must have more.
Too much trash

Pressure also
Wrecks havoc in my quest.
Do this, that

I have to be alone
To be by myself,
Before I can find who I am

Who I am
Writes my future
In a way

Because I can't
Just change instantaneously:
I folly steps

One form-Next form
I change piece by piece
In a line

But nonlinear lines
I move in directions unseen
To further the future from past

Here I stay,
Stuck in my circles
Of chasing

I follow
No leading, for when I lead
No one follows

I must improve.
This hole is deep, an abyss
Fly I should

The only way out
Would be taking to the sky.
Safety is far to high for climbing.

Longing For Water

A seed yearns for life,
Given to it by water.
I too yearn for you.

Janna Parke 2

Juxtapose two conflicting minds.
Against one another they tassel.
Never to complete their argument,
Nick is stuck as mediator.
And it is not a fun job.

Proposition after proposition,
All movements are mirrored.
Rather than agree, they fight.
Kind Nick is torn apart.
Everyday he worries about the outcome.

Video Game Reality

we sat on the couch
in front of the t.v.
both of us
were plugged in

we hit the power
and started
the game

we played for
hours upon hours
into the night
until finally

she fell forward
onto her lap

unsure of what
to do to help
i just left
