Spotted from afar,
A land across the sea,
There stood a treasure,
As bright as the eye could see,
Bright,
Shining,
Perfection,
A girl found the treasure,
It was laced with imperfection,
Mesmerized,
She took it,
She found the perfect treasure,
A boy,
A man,
Her love.

The sun sets,
The moon rises,
Seasons come and go,
Everything's ever changing,
But my feelings will not,
Loyal like a dog,

Don'T Trust the Dark

Darkness is a mystery,
Cold and Unwelcoming,
Giving us a fright,
Monsters lurk within,
Created and fed our kin,
Grabbing at feet that dangle off the bed,
It is the unknown,
A scary lack of light,
Hiding metaphorical creatures,
Engulfing our source of sight,
We fear the unknown,
What can never be shown,
Darkness is but a mystery,
An eternal vision of death.
