Lia Martin Poem
drag each day
across the drywall
smear each emotion
into the sky.
Scratch, scratch,
Tear, tear,
pull it all apart
end your sickly happy dreams
with blackened smell to start

Lia Martin Poem
Since when did you care?
about politics
and gay rights
and me.
since when were you loud?
and made yourself proud?
of yourself and your work and me.
since when were you gay?
but still not to say…
that you are
but I've seen the rainbows hidden
in your room
and your thoughts
and your eyes
for me.

Lia Martin Poem
sink into sleep
drop into deep
paddle in waves
of fluffed up sheep
glide through the dark
fade into dense
waves of muffled
quiet rest.

Lia Martin Poem
knock away
scrape away
take my brain apart
leave the gears
and metal bits
for a brand-new start.
why waste time?
cram your rules
of steel and cold.
room with a falling ceiling
don't crash on my head
or I’ll end up dead
down
on the floor
when the cleaners shut the door
and ill sink into the tiles
repeating dust til sore.
