Cardinal Brings Spring

Scarlet form black beek
fluttering from tree to treet
Hello Cardinal

Ginger Garden

Sweet ginger garden
red and yellow pods gleamer
Ripples alum light

Gone Fishing

Worms slither through mud
Minnows swim round cool water
Bass searching for bait

Harsh Mean Words

Harsh Mean Words

Silver colors stream down her face
Prism colors making a race
What did he say to turn her face
Harsh, mean words without grace

Eyes of red that see only blur
Lashes sticking and cause her to stir
Wiping them with tissues and then a dab
Harsh, mean words have made her sad

Laughter no longer visits her cheeks
Thoughts of happiness left over weeks
To tired to fight, complain, or speak up
Harsh, mean words made her shut up

Pain throughout the body and the mind
Steps are slower and so is time
Desire to skip, take walks, or call a friend
Harsh, mean words have put them to an end

Silver colors stream down her face
Eyes of red that see only blur
Laughter no longer visits her cheeks
Pain throughout the body and the mind
Harsh, mean words have replaced life’s pace

Silence

Watching him sleep he sighed
Eyelids closed, there is no flutter

Deep sounds of rising and falling breath
Mumbles from time to time are in depth

His eyes and mouth are finally closed
Respiration is slower and relaxation ensues

He seems so at peach for a few hours nap
Motionless, resting like a charmed bull

Oh God, look over this being of complaints
Peace at last – teac hm some restraint

Love

Love is not always true
Love is not always helpful
Love is not always fair
Love is not always even
Love is not always near
Love is not always sincere
Love is not always binding
Love is not always good
Love is not always . . . love
