My dreams become a vast oasis of emptiness
Further into the sun I follow
Torn and battered, but on a straight line
Meaning is entertainment for the fish
The sea is full of sharks swimming in blood
Each thought more random, more lost
To trap a thought is to kill a dream
We forever give chase
Running further from ourselves
There is a man outside waiting for me
His crooked smile brings sunshine
and me to my knees
I can barely remember who I was
Before the world took me out

Why does it seem so easy to you.
Use it up. Throw it away.
That parts over.
The faster you peel the less you feel.
I’ll be here. I’ll be here.
I won’t leave the dark to itself.
You are the only one that left.
Committed to a curse.
Committed none the less.
Heels dig down to the cold.
It took a while but I see what it is.
It doesn’t disappear.
Remember me. Remember what that felt like.
Hold on. You will never feel again.
That persons gone. They don’t exist.
They never did.
What role do you want them to play?
Who do you want them to be?

Boring, boring
Words I write really don’t mean anything
Please don’t read my mood swings
Don’t try to figure them out
That’s the first mistake
I can’t figure them out
I let them speak and this is what they say
Talk, write, wither
Don’t let the past break up the path
Behind the stone rises the birth of a beast
Trapped and torn
Screaming and sweating
Tearing and ripping away
Breathe into focus
Toss and turn the other cheek
Beneath your feet
I sleep
Battered, beaten, and obsolete

How to save me
Every thought sounds the same
Echo. Echo.
Where does it go
Somewhere I cant follow
Without leaving
I'm not leaving
Why did I stay
Why do I feel this way
Does it have to be
Get out of me, get out and be
Anyone else see what I think
Holding away in descent
Oh, how I feel better
