Snow Is Falling

"Snow is Falling" – A Cinquain

Peaceful
Snow is falling
All thoughts covered in white
I like the silence in my head
Quiet

When You Are Ready

"When You Are Ready" – A Triolet

"You must wait for happier days,
   They will come when you are ready."
Is that just a meaningless phrase?
"You must wait for happier days."
Trapped in an eerie monstrous maze
   I have to keep my mind steady!
"You must wait for happier days
   They will come when you are ready!"

Search For Light

"Search For Light" – A Minute

To find a little bit of light;
Like a small kite,
Needs wind outside,
To careful glide.

The wind outdoors just blows and blows;
I'm in the shadows.
Searching for aid,
Can't leave the shade.

Concentrated, I read all day,
To find my way.
From words lifted,
Slowly shifted.

The Boy Next Door

"The Boy Next Door" – A Sonnet

Outside she sees the birds and clouds fly high,
Together, where the golden sunbeams pelt.
She said "Alright, let's try", it's mid-july.;
That summer, when you told her how you felt.
Inside your childhood room, only nineteen.
That loosened button on her floral dress
Between your fingers. Like a movie scene,
The world stood still before your first caress.
Down on your bed, your hands intrude her thighs,
Like icy chills that slowly crawl her spine.
You promised time, but it was all just lies,
She froze but you just said "Relax, it's fine".
Suppressing tears as I flee out the door,
Since then I don't wear florals anymore.
